Let me start what went well. You guys have really improved your Jhol momo. That was the best one out of the menu. However, other food such as chicken chilly which was horrible in taste, i had to leave it on the table, couldn't eat . The waiter told me it was because of soy sauce, but half of the chicken tasted awful., Alu Chop the potato was really sweet and had no flavour at all, chicken pakora which was more like a chicken tender with thin batter . When you use "authentic", i assume either you have to use spice from Nepal/ India or the way of cooking should reflect the culture but I didn't find any of them. Moreover, the customer service was average. If you can't represent the Nepali dish properly, please don't serve that kind of food which leaves the wrong impression on Nepali cuisine.
I went there with my friends. They were very welcoming. Ordered Chicken Thali, Chilly Momo, Chicken Biryani , Butter Chicken and Butter Naan. Everything was tasty and delicious. I have had Nepali Food after quite a long time. The waitress was coming time and again to make sure that everything was all right and if there is anything else we wanted to have. I was really hungery so I had extra bowl of rice with chicken thali. The only thing I would mention to do better is the daal was thin. They should make it a little thick. Else, everything was really good. I would give them 8/10. Give it a try you wouldn’t get disappointed.
I visited on a Tuesday around one. Very quiet. The wait staff was very kind hearted but communication was difficult. The paneer was chewy in the tiki matter paner. The sauce was delicious. There was not enough rice for the sauce and was sad to see a fee for a side of rice on my bill. I would have talked more to the waiter about the bill, but because of the communication issue just paid it and left. They did not offer any lunch specials. Both bathrooms didn’t have hand towels. It was slightly over $17.50 for lunch entree and extra rice with water. This is more than I had expected. I had high hopes for this place as I like their name Namaste.
We went here on a lark because we smelled the food shopping for an oven nearby. I am glad we did. Normally I dont eat that much Indian or Nepalese cuisine. This place may actually change my opinion on it. The food here is delicious and the service was phenomenal. The staff was polite and quick. The portions were good, and the menu was extensive and the price point was awesome. The lighting situation is the only reason I didnt give it five stars. Other than that its perfect.
First of all, You guys should not call yourself a Nepalese restaurant and completely stop selling Nepali food like Momo and Chowmein. I ordered from UberEats, this was one of the worst Momo i have ever ate on my entire life. I was on a layover, found a Nepali place and was happy to order but oh Man what a waste food it was. I do not what you put in Chowmein that it was tasting bitter and who puts lot of ketchup while cooking ? Is it authentic chowmein that your Chef learned ? These kind of food taste is downgrading reputation of our food. Please educate your chef , put in training and taste yourself and bring 10 Nepalese people to taste it and if all approves then put in menu else change your restaurant name from Namaste to Namusate like chinese name making it asian like chinese, thai food place.
We had a great meal here. We had momo's, matar paneer, a few chicken dishes, coconut shrimp, and fried cheese. The service was great and the owner came by to see how we liked our dinner. We will be going back!
The worst biryani we have never tasted. We asked for double masala but they gave double oil biryani. Chicken curry, butter nan and roti are good.
Seriously delicious! True papad in south city! Amazing and friendly service. If you haven't checked out Nameste yet you should. So excited for this new restaurant.
Excellent food, excellent service. We dined in and very much enjoyed everything about this newer St Louis Hills restaurant of Indian & Nepalese cuisines. Evident is great care goes into the preparation of their menu offerings. The food quality, attentive service and the friendliness of the proprietors will bring us back, I'm sure, time and time again. And the leftovers were just as delicious!!!
Take Out Order on Nov 2 around 9 pm I think this issue has already been mentioned before but something needs to be changed in this restaurant. This is just a suggestion from a new customer. Please let your staff be careful while making the dishes because when i ordered fried chicken mo:mo ,i got fried veg mo:mo instead and on top of that i got hard plastic with one of the mo:mo . If you think this is fake i can show you the proof . Hope to see you guys improve so that we can visit next time .
