Napa Valley Wine Train offers an authentic, memorable experience that echoes the glory days of train travel, with fine dining service, multiple course meals, Napa Valley scenery and ultimate relaxation aboard an exquisitely restored vintage train. One of the few active historic passenger railroads in the United States, the Wine Train features antique Pullman rail cars faithfully restored with Honduran mahogany paneling, brass accents, etched glass partitions and plush armchairs that evoke the spirit of luxury rail travel at the beginning of the 20th century. Enjoy a relaxing three hour journey along the thirty six mile round-trip between the historic town of Napa through one of the world's most famous wine valleys to the quaint village of St. Helena and back. Located only one hour North of San Francisco.

Loved this tour! I did the "Legacy Tour" and I feel like it was the best tour I could have chosen from their menu. For this tour, when the train stops, you get off for the vineyard directly in front of you (tasting prices are covered as part of the tour). There was a different train tour sharing the car with us, that when we stopped they had to get off the train & on to a van to be taken to their vineyard. Anyway, the food (you get breakfast & lunch) was absolutely fantastic (food porn at its finest) and the train car was gorgeous! So much fun (completely worth the price)!

A bit pricey but worth it. Service was excellent, parking is available. Both in the station and inside the train AC was working and it was a comfortable temperature. The tour was very interesting and fun. It takes 1.5 hours each way, 3hours total ... Different tour packages are available. It's a fun and joyful experience, romantic and lots of scenery ... Don't for get to take your camera with you :)

Food and service was good but for the price you pay it is not worth it. The Wine Train is a major tourist trap. It literally follows the side of the highway straight up and back. You can get the same experience taking a uber and saving your money for the winery and restaurants. There are several packages, I did the gourmet lunch.

We did the Express Gourmet lunch train. It was a great trip and worth the money. Purchasing bottles of wine in the shop was very reasonably priced (lots of bottles for $20-30) and they allow you to bring them onboard and pour for you with your lunch ($15 corking fee). The ride was smooth and the scenery was beautiful. It was a wonderful way to see the majority of Napa Valley as the train runs along side highway 29, so you get to see a lot of the main wineries you'll want to visit later. The meal was absolutely fantastic and the staff was part of the great experience. If you are touring the area it is a lovely way to start a trip to get an overview of Napa Valley.

Great afternoon lunch. Able to enjoy the views of the vineyards from the deck at the back of the train. Plenty of food offered during the visit and decent vegetarian option.
