We have been coming here for the past few years like 6-7 times and this time was the worst , bad customer service! We came in a party of 9 and they put us in a small place with extra tables. We felt uncomfortable then we saw a table that customer just left we usually sit there when our family came we asked the waitresses and they told us that table was reserves for other party, and okay. We thought they may have a bigger group came in, but no. Only a small family of 4 people. Wth! They just lied to us. Overall, the food wasnt good like before. The noodles with beef yakisoba was too salty and the short hair lady told us that was how japanese people cook like that. She didnt even say sorry then she came back and asked if we want another plate with less japanese sauce or something and we were ok. Food was brought home bc of the long wait, and it came with chicken i think they cooked for us a different one but okay. Overall, I didnt like a lady with short hair that came and explain to us. The way she talked was rude. I liked the other 2 younger girls were nice and sweet. This place was my husband and my moms favorite sushi, but no more. Its our last time here. I think they changed the owner and chiefs that why the food wasnt good anymore. Sorry I do not recommend this place to anyone or friends.

Everyone that works at Narumi Sushi is very nice, they treated us well and the food was delicious.  We normally eat at the one on Fletcher Parkway but the are only take out now.  They have a very large and diverse menu.  We tried the Avocado Tempura and it was SO good!  Hand rolls were big and full of good stuff.  We loved everything and wish we could have eaten more.  We will be back.

I spent $80 on my order and you guys dont do your job... Please inspect your food before you eat any sushi rolls. There's a pubic hair stuck on the roll that's been rolled with. Imagine all the people that dine in without realizing it. Never coming back to this restaurant just disgusting Food: 1/5

Quality sushi rolls found here! So happy to have found this place. The prices are super reasonable compared to most other sushi spots around the area. The portion size of the rolls surprised me too. Jam packed!  The staff are also really kind and constantly checking if you need anything else &lt;3 I would recommend trying the hawaiian roll and monkey punch roll. 10/10 I just wish the air conditioning in there was stronger. Especially in this blazing summer heat.

My boyfriend and I had the best experience at Hinata. The sushi was delicious, our favorite sushi in San Diego and we’ve tried a lot of places. Highly recommend the spicy edamame and the Louisiana Roll! Every single waiter greeted us or checked on us, they had top tier service and were very friendly! They definitely made us feel like family, and we will be back!

First time coming to this Japanese Restaurant & Sushi place in Lemon Gove. We were greeted immediately as we entered, the chefs behind the counter also greeted us as we were walking to our tables, very friendly staff I was so impressed with them welcoming us the way they did. Very clean place, the food was very delicious full of flavor, they made sure we had plenty of refills on our waters. I would definitely recommend this place to all my family, friends and clients. This place is 100% #KangarooReviewsApproved by me. and I can’t wait to come back to eat more food. Thank you for the excellent customer service.

Great service. The cream cheese on the avocado tempura was a bit much and lacked flavor. The baked spicy jalapeno rolls were pretty good. Prices are really good considering how everything went up. Will definitely be coming back soon.Food: 4/5

Update June 2023: prices went up by a couple bucks for sushi, which is in line with inflation. Still cheaper than most spots though since rolls are still sub $15. Tried their lunch kitchen special. 10 bucks for chicken teriyaki that came with a wonderful portion. We are now slightly incentivized to try out other spots but if you haven't been here it's still a must try!  I don't ever review American sushi places because well... They usually all kind of taste the same. Good, but not too different. This place though? Totally blew my mind. Attentive service, nice, big sushi pieces, and for a price you don't really find anywhere else nowadays. Their sushi rolls average 11 bucks a roll and they were so good! Highly recommend the 7 samurai sushi combo. 4 rolls of 4 pieces each. You get a delicious mix for 20 bucks. Can't wait to try their lunch specials and happy hour too. From what we could see on the menu they seem like great deals. Owner could upcharge 50% and still get customers but seriously just chooses not to, so until this happens I'll be back at least a couple times a month :
