Natchez Transit System is a public/municipal entity operating a Federal Transit Administration (FTA) 5311 rural non-urbanized transportation system. It began providing transportation services in 1981. Natchez Transit System operates a fleet of 35 vehicles including 26 buses, six minivans, and three trolleys. Twenty-nine of the vehicles are fully accessible allowing for uninterrupted service to all populations. Natchez Transit System's professionally trained drivers provide approximately 65,000 trips annually throughout the Southwest region of Mississippi.
