The national was best value here and they gave us a new car with no issues with it. They could have used more than one person on the desk during peak hours however to improve waiting times. I would definitely use again.

The 4 stars are for the staff only. We had an issue once with the manager he was rude on the phone but the customer service agents at the airport are amazing. They made sure our next visit we would be satisfied. The gentlemen was constantly asking if we were satisfied with the service. Normally I get a discount from national and get the vehicle I book. The only thing I wanted to suggest is that maybe they would pay more attention to cleaning the cars in and out. You can always see it’s a quick clean up and cars are sent off to the next client as they go. If they could clean the vehicle a little better that would be great. When you rent a vehicle for 500$ a week you should get a nice clean shiny car! Thank You staff!

BEWARE. Left high value item in locked vehicle, key dropped off after hours and ran back to car to find we locked expensive item in car but we had already dropped the key. After 13 days of calls to them they only answered 3 times of many calls, and all 3 times kept saying they'll call back about my item and giving me a run around but they never call back! We know 100% it was there but had to get on our flight called right away at opening and no one will tell me anything. There are no excuses for this!!! It's like someone sold it already and they're trying to get it back before they call me back.  Edit: I sent an email to the person that responded below and never heard back. Double checked I sent it to the right email and still no response two weeks later. No response from even the national car rental head office who told me they were escalating this twice!!! One month later and I still can’t get this location to call me back like they keep saying they will once they “check”

Picked up a car here and Karanjeet helped me out. He went above and beyond - helped me set up my phone and navigation. Excellent customer service even though he was the only one at the counter. Would definitely rent from here again.

We had a wonderful experience at the Hamilton airport location. Basil was polite, cheerful and super helpful during our check in. He even upgraded us for free as a Father’s Day gift. I highly recommend NATIONAL car rental at this location and the service of basil and his colleague Oginri enhanced our experience to another level. Will definitely be using their services in the near future.

I have used National car rental many times before but I don't believe that I have ever had such a more pleasant  experience. When I stepped up to the counter, I was greeted by Mr Basil Hassan. When I told him my name, he replied ,Oh Mr Brown, we have a special vehicle for you.. It was almost like we were besties, but I have never met him before. I had arranged to have a compact SUV but I ended up getting the nicest vehicle that I have ever driven. I have no idea why I had the pleasure of receiving an upgrade and he seemed just as excited as I was. What an absolute pleasure it was dealing with this man. Exceptional personality.  Good employees are hard to find, and this guy is a keeper for sure. Highly recommend this car rental company..

TLDR: I rented a car from August 22nd to august 26th for 257$ and its now cost me over 15000$ and nobody can tell me why or give me my money back! 10/10 would not recommend!!  When I go to pick up the car they say they need a deposit of 400$+ cost of rental up front. so I pay 657$ to pick up the car with the promise to receive my 400$ back when i drop the car off. I end up returning the car a day early for work so they charge me close to 193$ instead and say they will email me a receipt in an hour or so. INSTEAD of a receipt they charged me another 657$ + 193$ and never returned the original deposit paid. I have called daily with no reply, left messages with no return call and after the first two calls they have stopped answering my calls entirely and they go straight to VM.  I hope this helps someone else avoid this scam, I will have to file a chargeback on my credit card to get my money back at this time.

I had a very pleasant experience renting a car from National last weekend. Check in was easy. I pre-booked online. I got upgraded to a beautiful Infinity SUV at the counter.  We had no issues with the vehicle. It was great. When we returned the car, I forgot to fill it up. Mind you, I did not drive much. Used less than a 1/4 tank. The nice guy at the counter said, that's okay, I won't charge you for the fuel. Have a safe flight. It was a very pleasant experience to say the least.

National has always been my go to rental agency. Nice clean cars, easy check in and check out and good customer service. Recently though I traveled to Hamilton airport in Ontario, Canada and was disappointed by the poor service received. I was traveling on a private charter aircraft and I had booked a car for noon. I arrived at the National booth at noon on the dot only to find it unoccupied. Calling the number posted I was told it would be 20 minutes to get a car to me,. I was fine with that. It was actually an hour and when the driver arrived he was not an agent but simply a guy who moves the cars to and from different locations. After calling again, it was another 30 minutes for the agent to arrive. Now I realize we are dealing with a pandemic and all but that is precisely why I didn't want to spend any time in the terminal building myself. I live in a province with under 20 cases of active COVID so the last thing I wanted to do was sit in an airport in a province where 140+++ new cases are occurring daily. Why make me submit an arrival time if you weren't planning on meeting me? I'm quite sure if I was to drop the vehicle off anytime after my planned drop time I would be charged accordingly. Is your time more valuable than mine? Normally National is great but on this trip they dropped the ball.

Great professional service from Ahmed at the Hamilton Airport location. He made us feel like Platinum customers. Thank You will rent from National again on my next business trip back in Hamilton.
