The town has invested wisely in building infrastructure that supports a healthy lifestyle for those attracted to the great outdoors. Problem is that the lake itself has never recovered from the CN train derailment in 1979. Swimmers are far and few between. Water filtration plant had to be top grade. Town has not grown.

The beach is fun and free!

Great place to take the kids on a hot day or to learn to bike ride, supervised beach area with kayak/canoe rentals. Nice big splash pad and lots of picnic areas.
