We had an absolute blast! Awesome concept for a bar, you can try dozens of new beers without having to buy a whole big pint they also have cocktails and wine on draft and you can fill up whenever you want. The staff was super helpful showing my family and I how the draft system works and grabbing empty glasses, etc. You can order food from the deli next door which was great. They have a huge collection of board games you can play. Checking out was a breeze, just dropped the pour card in the checkout bin on the way out, didn't have to hold up our uber ride. We will definitely be back!
Well, let’s start with the best parts. First, the location is great, though I’m a little biased since it’s so close to home. Right in the center of a wonderful neighborhood with plenty of other places to stop by as well. Inside is wonderful with its plethora of taps featuring just a type of drink for anyone and everyone. Want a beer? They got a style for everyone. Want wine? You’re covered. Want a cocktail? They can make you one or have numerous on tap. Need N/A? They got that as well. Plus add in seltzers and ciders as well. Things rotate, so stop by for the swap outs. It’s also self serve which is nice. You can try just anything you want in the size you want. No more ordering a pint and coming to regret the choice. Atmosphere is great too. Staff is phenomenal, and the place is always welcoming. Anything by you need, just ask them and they’ll help you out. Depending on time, Jeff, Athena, Becca, Ben and more will welcome you in style. Various events across the week with live music on occasion as well. You want to host an event, they’ll likely have you. Food? Well, there is pretty much none. They allow you to bring anything in though, order out or bring your own picnic. Oh, but they do have free chips of varying types all the time for the taking. I mean, that’s all pretty dope though.
It was my first time there. I have read good reviews and therefore decided to visit. The concept of pouring the beer yourself is great! However, I am pretty sure they modified the final bill to their advantage! Additionally, the 18% automatic add-on tip is a freaking scam! What is the tip for?? I performed all service by myself pouring and the dish return. I recommend you close the bill yourself with the staff and see the final sum instead of dropping the card in the clear box by the door. After the owner responded these are my additional comments. Tipping 18% can feel like a scam, especially if you end up doing most of the cleanup work yourself. The fundamental purpose of a tip is to reward service and ensure that service staff are adequately compensated for their efforts. When you handle tasks such as clearing tables and disposing of waste, you're essentially doing part of the server's job without receiving any compensation yourself. Paying an additional 18% on top of your bill in such cases feels unjust, as the tip should reflect the level of service provided. Instead, it becomes an unnecessary surcharge that doesn't align with the effort and service rendered. Like I stated originally, the tipping part was NOT explained to me upon the entry. I appreciate your willingness to offer *one* on a house, though.
Such a cute and fun place! Awesome beer and such a fun way to try new varieties. Loved the board game options there and could easily spend a few hours with friends here. Highly recommend!Food: 5/5
Beware! Met coworker for birthday celebration. I closed out tab with staff $96+ prior to leaving. Today establishment processed another $96+. Now having to dispute with bank. Not cool! Very frustrating... I'm not a fan of giving up your credit card to upload on their card. Will not be returning
This place is COOL! Self-serving adult beverages- heck yes! You get a “credit card” and you can try any drinks- they have various beers, and mixed drinks, all on tap! I love this concept so much! They also have snacks available. Even better: they have ample space to sit and chill, great music, and games galore to play while you drink! They also occasionally seem to have happy hours / deals. Will be back as this place is a gem. Plus, the owner seemed super nice and made sure to explain to us the concept in a friendly manner.
I thought the place was okay, if overpriced, until I went to leave and saw the sign informing me that an 18 percent tip would be automatically added. It seems some other reviewers took issue with the scam as well. We're pouring our own beers here. If they really care about ensuring that their staff are adequately compensated, they could just adequately compensate them.
Highly recommend using Navigator Taproom for throwing an event/get-together! We had a bunch of people and everyone loved the beer/drink options, we were able to bring in desserts, and the staff was super helpful and friendly.Service: 5/5
A taproom with an ever-changing variety of beers, wine, seltzers and stouts plus cocktails. Pros: *Great pre-game spot prior to a show at Concord Music Hall, also great for groups, maybe a medium sized birthday party. *Wide variety, especially of local brews *Features selection of board games, indie music and decades mixes no juke box; and the TV usually plays sports *Can bring your own food, snacks or order delivery to this spot Cons: *No lot and only street parking can be tough to find a spot on busy night *No snacks on site used to be before - but you can order delivery *Bring your own paper to keep score for your board games
I've held two parties at Navigator Taproom: one for a large party of 30+ and another for a small party of 8. Both times, the team has been amazing. I reserved in advance, and Tim, the owner, was so quick to respond, and so kind. It's an awesome, chill place to host gatherings! They make it so easy for people to keep track of their own tabs with their card system, and as someone who can't drink that much beer, it's so nice being able to pour the precise amount you want for yourself. They've got a diverse selection and a bar with hard liquor for those who want it, and I looooove that you can bring your own food! Highly recommend!
