We tried this place based on the photos. We were looking for a breakfast that wasn’t super greasy, low sodium and was healthy but hearty. Pleasantly surprised!! Very simple place and friendly staff. Our group had steak and eggs, Spanish omelet and Santa Barbara burger. Everyone enjoyed their food. We left with happy tummies! We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area!!
It's a nice little place with a lot of breakfast and lunch options at reasonable prices! I ordered their chicken strips and fries meal, which came with four fairly large and tasty pieces, for only $8.99, which is a pretty nice deal. The food tasted fresh, and the meat was nicely salted. The fries could have been more flavorful, but they did the trick. Service was good, although kind of slow. English doesn't seem to be many of the employees' first language, which is part of the reason why, but they are nice and helpful. I'd try some of their other food and they seem like a business that I would want to support.
Update: I've been back a few times since my original review and I've decided it definitely deserves the 5 stars from 4. They're always so kind and caring. They're all family, so I fan understand being there on a Saturday morning isn't the most enjoyable for the teens when they'd rather be out with their friends. Either way, well worth a visit. It's a great little nook. Seems to be family run but that doesn't mean poorly run. There does seem to be a lack of personal service. By that, I mean that I felt like our server was just a bit too shy. She was very nice and I absolutely am not complaining about her at all, but it just seemed like she wasn't really interested in anything but getting the order in. Anyway, the food was great. They use real eggs if you don't know that some places use a powder or mixture and their omelette and scramble were very good. One thing I noticed was that it seemed a bit underspiced. I would have loved a bit more of a pop of flavor. Either way, I'd definitely go back. Prices are reasonable, a hair high, but still not out of the range of most breakfast joints. Parking: Great parking right out front.
A nice little hole in the wall. The server could have been more attentive, though she was not rude in the slightest, just seemed a little new to being a waitress. However the food was cooked very well. The owner was very friendly, checked to be sure everyone was enjoying the food, the regular customers seem to have loyalty, and they are treated well and greeted upon arrival. It can get packed, and I wished I had waited it out sooner, I'll definitely go back.
Great little breakfast spot. I've always lived in Vancouver but just discovered this resteraunt. Friendly staff, good size portions and good food. I had the Mega scramble and pancakes. Parking: Plenty of easy parking.
Took my mom here because her favorite place, Ducktails, closed down recently and we had heard good things about Nayhely’s. The restaurant seemed clean, the staff was very friendly and the menu was what I would expect from a small diner. We both opted for ham and cheese omelettes. Whenever I’m trying a new breakfast place that’s typically what I will order because if you can do an omelette decently then you should be able to do everything else really well. I ordered coffee and they brought a carafe of coffee which I haven’t seen a place do that in forever so that was really cool. My mom ordered tea and they brought her a carafe of hot water also so that was really neat to see and something completely unique. My mom ordered hashbrowns and a biscuit which looked to be homemade. I had toast and home fries with mine. The hashbrowns were cooked well and Mom said the biscuit was great. My toast was fine as it’s hard to screw up toast and home fries were pretty good also although they felt more like a cross between french fries and almost like a tater tot than home fries but they were crunchy on the outside good texture on the inside and tasty so that was a win. The only challenge were the omelettes. Both were overcooked, dry and very little ham or cheese in them. They looked more like scrambled eggs with a little ham and cheese cooked in it that was allowed to sit and set up and then just folded over not an omelette with a filling. We wanted to like the place and maybe omelettes aren’t their thing as we saw multiple orders of chicken fried steak and eggs and pancakes coming out from the kitchen that looked good. Unfortunately, this place is a pass for me though. I do hope they do well with their regular clients as it’s great to see a family run place.
Small place, good food, we ate breakfast skillets and mmmm yummy at 10am and had a cup of clam chowder to go after our meal. They are open breakfast, lunch and dinner and I'm bringing my son in for lunch next sunday-burgers, salad, fries! Try it. Parking: Right in front, in an old strip mall
French Dip sandwich was excellent. The meat was very tasty. Could have been a bit bigger, but for the price I really can't complain. A good value.Food: 4/5
Well, it isn't horrible, but we won't be back. The staff was friendly and the prices are decent, but not great. We ordered the Hearty Breakfast and the New York Steak and eggs meals. The toast was not sourdough as ordered and was the consistency of a crouton. The eggs were not seasoned and although my over medium eggs were cooked correctly, my son's over easy were not. My steak was well done, when I ordered medium rare. It had no pink or red to it plus a huge line of fat along the side so I cut a huge chunk off since the fat was hard and not edible, as was about half the steak itself. It also had no seasoning on it whatsoever. My son's hashbrowns were not extra crispy as ordered, but barely cooked. My homestyle potatoes were cooked but not seasoned at all, not even salt. My son's buttermilk pancakes were fluffy and very good. The orange juice was good as it was "Florida's all natural Country Style". The restaurant was very clean. Not sure about the restrooms as everything is closed to dine-in per state mandates currently in effect. When I called about the mistakes, the only response was, "oh!" and eventually a thank you for telling her, but offered no solutions. Sadly, I am very disappointed as I was looking forward to finding a new place.
Food was very good. Very 'down home cafe' feel. Service was a little slower than I would have liked, but acceptable.Food: 5/5
