The vibe here is perfect. The drinks are just OK though. I ordered a decaf Americano and it was good. Their brand are roasted by Italian company Illy. I lm a bit of a coffee snob so I prefer organic, single source, and you know all these high quality methods, but it isn't a bad cup. Their chai isn't good though...it's mainly sugar. And the price for alternative milks $1 uncharged is ridiculous. You could buy a whole carton for $4 and make more than 4 lattes with it. Staff is super friendly, kind, and familial though. And the aesthetic - sort of Cajun, French style- is perfect. Wifi and good work. But they do have music so not the quietest. Outdoor with cover from rain and whatnot and indoor seating available. Overall, this place is better for vibes than the food in my opinion - come to chat with friend, for a date, or to work a bit.
Met the owner. Enjoyed my tea. He said they had food. What food? Food food. I ate well. Brought the creative team by to learn more. Food food was not coffee shop food. It was real food. The chill vibes and open space are by design. The details are top notch and there should be a TV show shot here daily.
So excited for their soft opening! I came in and the owner was behind the bar helping out. And the manager/lead barista? came in and hugged me saying, “everyone’s back!” They always know how to make you feel welcome, regular or not. Tried their grilled chicken with chipotle mayo on brioche today, pretty solid. Also love the new artwork!
This place was a wonderful spot for coffee and lunch. The food comes with love and comfort . Great staff, they are super helpful and friendly. Vegetarian options: Blackbean burger will change how you think about life.
This is such a treasure I found near me I got the iced chai latte and it was amazing the BLT with beef bacon was really good. Me and my boyfriend came here for breakfast and left fulfilled! Definitely want to come back to try more menu items. The atmosphere is very nice and the seating outside is unique.Food: 5/5
Had breakfast there highly recommended by two Harlem dwellers! This spot is amazing. The food is great. I would recommend the BLT with shrimp and a latte will definitely be back on my next travels.
A dear friend suggested we meet here for a cool cup and I'm so happy he did. First, I love and sincerely appreciate the atmosphere of this shop. The ladies working up front are so attentive and welcoming. This spot clearly has regulars and they recognized every single person. LOVE IT! As for eats, I had the egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on a brioche bun. Very yummy! The hubs had a BLT with beef bacon he's no fan of turkey. He enjoyed his sandwich as well. I also had the chai latte, which I highly recommend. The space is inviting. We sat inside for a spell and then moved outside in the pet friendly area. Hands down: you gotta visit this place.
This cafe has such a warm feel to it. The coffee and food are great, but what makes it so special is the people and ambience. The staff are very attentive and friendly. The business really lives up to its name by creating a sense of belonging for the community and NBHD. Thank you for your service.Food: 5/5
This coffee spot was hands down one of the best I’ve ever been to! I was visiting from California and the group I was with ordered from here every day of our stay. The first day I had the Cajun chicken, which was amazing! Second day I went with the bagel with lox, which I highly recommend! The staff was super friendly, the decor was beautiful, and the vibe was chill. Also, the iced white mocha with oat milk was the best! I have never tasted a coffee so delicious until I visited this shop! We will definitely be back soon! Thank you for such an amazing experience!
I love this spot! It has a lot of cozy chairs where you can sit to read a book, yummy pastries, and good coffee. Last year they also had a free book exchange for community members. It’s also Black-owned and has a sealed outdoor area. Great place to work or study!Recommended dishes
