My daughter & I (African American) are a military family and have been customers at the Neibauer Dental Clinic located at 117 Saint Patrick's Dr., Waldorf, MD and experienced both unprofessional behavior & poor customer service from their administrative staff two days in a row on July 28th & 29th, 2017. We both came in for scheduled appts on two separate days. We received numerous appointment reminders via text and e-mail messages leading up to our appointments. However, when we arrived to our appointments and gave our names to check-in at the front desk, the first question the clerk (white female) ask me was how did I plan to pay since I didn't have any insurance. The question startled me, because we come to this dental office every 6 months for service over the last 7 years. I explained that information & tried to give her my military ID card in hopes that it would help her locate my records. However, she refused to accept my ID & then told me I should just answered her questions. She stated their office just changed systems & it was showing my husband (who is still on active duty) was inactive. Again, I tried to explain that was incorrect information. She displayed a negative attitude & was less than helpful. Normally, in a customer service position when you cannot find information in the database, you explain the situation to the customer, ask for their ID & insurance card. That should have been the correct "professional" action to do. You always treat your customers with respect & you try to keep the exchange pleasant. That never happened. The next morning, our daughter came in for her appointment & she was told the same information; that she was not in their database. We called her father/my husband, Active Duty Military who came in & tried to resolve this on-going issue. The same clerk tells my husband they have a paper stating he is inactive. My husband told her that was an error & pulls out his military ID card & showed/asked the clerk to read the date on his military ID which read/showed he was still in the military. He then ask to speak with management. The manager (white female) came out & tells my husband about a system change. He ask if they informed their customers about this change. He asked if they indicated a system change during the numerous appointment reminders so we would know if there was anything that we needed to do before arrival. The answer was no: My husband was told it was between the insurance company & service member. Again, incorrect; it should have been their responsibility to notify their patients (us) about the change. As soon as my husband showed his frustration & stated their office always received payments from the military Tricare Dental Office (United Concordia & from us) when they sent in the claim to billing. Their records on our history would show that they ALWAYS GOT PAID. He also told her that he would pay for today to get our daughter seen. However, due to their POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE or LACK THERE OF, the Manager stated she felt intimidated by him. We believe she only made that statement -1. Because he is black; 2. She really could not explain their error & therefore my husband (military) made the BEST decision - To end our relationship with Neibauer Dental. He said, That's okay. We will find another service provider." I'm stating, If this is the way Neibauer treats long time "paying " customers, I WOULD NEVER AGAIN RECOMMEND ANYONE GO TO THE NEIBAUER DENTAL OFFICE IN WALDORF. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE; POOR MANAGEMENT. Kind Regards, Disappointed Military Family!

The doctor is very nice, all other staff has poor customer service and is very judgmental which is why most people do not go to the dentist. These people talk so much trash that you can over hear them in the other room talking bad about you and your teeth. Once we are done with our last appointment here, we will transfer to a more professional establishment.

Dentists and Hygienists are very good! Take the time to explain needed care and answer any patient questions. Billing department seems to work hard but coordination of benefits is poor on their best day. For a post install they provided a cost of the care prior to treatment. Found out later that this was only for the extraction and cleaning of the area and that the build-up, manufacture, and installation of the post was a totally new charge not explained or shown during the first visit. Took 5 phone calls, 3 non-appointment trips to the office, and 10 months to resolve billing issues and correct filing of documents for a single post install. Would look over my statements and billing prior to paying and compare the charges verse the allowable charges in my dental plans. Overall, recommend Neibauer Dental Care simply because of the good level of care, but look at your bill closely and make sure you ask what is the total cost of the treatment from start to finish before signing anything.

Way to high !!!!! Everything cost more there. The staff don't know the actual price. One person's will quote you on thing , then other and So will the dentist. If you ask why, they will say it's based on your Insurance! Bull, they should have a Base price and You can find out What will the insurance cover. My insurance covers 70 I do 30. With a base price Then that will give me an idea of what I should pay. My bill was $1,000. I called my insurance NOT one Of the quotes they said where there. Come to find out It other things they added THAT I never did. When I called them back They saw oh, it's our nAme for it. In the end they where force to do It right ( ty) I still end out paying $400.00 smh. ( Wow they told me I need work on my teeth for something. I went somewhere else they said Nothing to be done here. Smh they just full of.lies)
