I have been eating at Neighborhood Country Market over the past year, mainly for breakfast, and other times for lunch and dinner. They offer a wide variety of choices and one of their cooks, Gail does an incredible job with the food. Breakfast is always great and their chicken and burgers are equally delicious. The store is much more than a deli, it is a deli and convenience store all in one. They also carry literally any product you may run out of at home that you may need last minute when you are in a bind. The owner Abdul does an excellent job keeping the store well stocked, clean and organized, making it a place you can go back to time and time again.
Nasty just keep driving... Definitely not returning the chopped cheese sandwich meat taste like it was sitting in the freezer for days bread was soggy
By far the best deli in Mastic Beach!! The breakfast sandwiches and home fries are incredible. The hamburger platters are also delicious.
Not very happy due to the fact today is now the second time I have bought something from this place that ended up being old or expired. First time was a stale bag of chips thought I might’ve just gotten unlucky. Today, a rack was displayed with a bunch of boxes of little debbies, drakes, etc. The box I bought was expired a month ago and I wouldn’t normally think much of this, however they were “on sale” for only $1 which leads me to believe he was entirely aware of them being expired and was selling them at such a low price so he didn’t lose all of his profit on those expired items, hoping no one notice they’re expired. It’s also unbearably hot inside of there I can not imagine how the cooks feel inside of an 80 degree building on top of being over a hot stove. Seriously, do better and stop being so cheap.
The shop owner is a wonderful man who cares about his customers. He made me two chopped cheeses when his cook was out sick and there was no one to man the grill. I felt welcome and will definitely be making this place my go-to
Abdul was the biggest highlight of our trip to the area. As food lovers, we were shocked to hear there was good fried chicken above the Mason–Dixon line. This is the BEST fried chicken I've ever had — equal parts juicy and flavorful. The market also has unique alcohol selections and snacks. If I lived in the area, I'd be in big trouble because everything was irresistible! A must.
Owner was great. Food made fresh. Fried chicken crispy with nice spices and garlic. Better than the big name brand takeouts. Cannot believe I have lived here so long and didn't know about this place. Would recommend
Abdul, the owner of this place, is such a gem! He showed great hospitality as soon as we walked in the door and he takes such pride in his shop and his fried chicken recipe. Speaking of which, the fried chicken here...OMG! It was incredible! If you have the privilege of living near this place, do yourself a favor and stop in for some fried chicken. It was some of the most delicious, juiciest fried chicken I've ever had!
I’ve been coming to this deli ever since I was a toddler, great food, the owner is very nice and very welcoming. But there is this new guy working there, very rude, always making problems with everyone, breaking rules, and closing at unreasonable times. One time I went to go buy a lighter and told me I have to be 18, showed him my id and just said “no its 21 sorry” and started playing with the lighter in front of me. I also have to ask this man to give me my change when I pay, this isn’t a charity. This Disrespectful employee makes me not want to go there anymore.
We were looking for something not a chain and made a small detour to visit. The fried chicken was made fresh and was delicious. No indoor seating so we ate outdoors at Osprey Park nearby. Looks like a mom n' pop convenience store and is but they also have an extensive sandwich selection, burgers, and fried chicken.
