My apartment had mold in the closet due to poor construction from Neighbors Construction. The mold was covered by items in my closet. I had only been there three weeks and started to sneeze a lot and feel ichy like I was allergic to something. I also had chronic headaches along with other side affects from mold.  I soon found the mold. Then reported it to the office on a Friday. I came home be my apartment smelt like bleach and my clothes were still in the closet. I had to become very forceful in my language to get a response for something to be done. Finally, I was able to get a hotel which they promised to reimburse. I had expressed my desire to move to another unit. On Saturday, I was still sneezing and had a bad headache but I was treated as if I was not telling the truth. They kept saying they rectified the situation. I have had to go to urgent care and the hospital due to symptoms. I have never had health problems and dance at Kansas City Ballet. 

I had a mold inspector come and his reports came back saying the mold spores were so high in the apartment and needed to be evacuated. This was after they kept saying, "We have rectified the problem". 

The management spoke to me as if I was an idiot and was not compassionate about the stress, loss of belongings and enconvenience. Finally, I was allowed to move to the unit next door to mine. I moved my bed in and slept there with nothing but glad to be away from mold. New tenants moved into my old unit and became sick. The management said there was "black mold" but they rectified the problem. Then the management retracted the statement saying it was mold that was black. My neighbors had a terrible time just like I did and were treated horribly and lied to many times. 

I am still in a legal battle with Residences at Park Place and Neighbors Construction.
