From what I here from some people in the area Neme’s is a local hot spot! My friend and I were not disappointed in our visit, I had a great time!! The live salsa music was very enjoyable, one guy even took me on the dance floor!! During this time the crowd was more mature 40’s to 50’s which I love! The bartender’s service was very good, drinks were strong, there were vegan options for dinner-my friend vegan loved her food but my crab cakes were lacking-too much filler but not terrible. After midnight or so the tables were rearranged and a DJ appeared playing current dance music for the youngsters, the age range changed to 20’s to 30’s which was too young from my taste so I moved on but I was happy to have visited.
This is our new home away from home. The food & service are SPECTACULAR! Best happy hour I've been to - 50% off drinks & $6 plates. Will definitely be back.Food: 5/5
We went on a Saturday night and even though they did not have a table available they did everything to try to find a place for us. Food: All was good, from croquetas, flat bread to tuna tartar and fried calamari. Perfect size and great flavor Atmosphere: live music was Amazing. They had a latin music group at 10pm and we even ended up dancing. Drinks: we had a bottle of wine and tried also couple of cocktails, all yummy and very well presented. We tried an old fashion, Moscow Mule and Negroni all recommended Service: Especially the guy at the var was very attentive, but general service was good. I wilk give a 4.6 to this place, great if you like live music and want to enjoy at night with friends. The place is small so i recommended you plan ahead and makena reservation. Parking: on the street
Came here on a Friday night looking for some jazz. It was hard to get in touch with the restaurant over the phone, but we got seated without a reservation. It turns out...they don't play jazz every night. The night we were there was a live band playing the top hits. While it wasn't jazz, we had a wonderful time with the band, and the female singer's voice was amazing. Food-wise was average. We went with the fan-favorite - Tostones con Avocado. Ummm, there was a generous amount of avocado over the tostones, but I prefer just simple tostones with garlic lemon sauce. We also got the escargot to share - it was good, but nothing to write home about. But the restaurant was very accommodating with my friend's dietary restrictions. We also got some tacos to share - but both the tuna and the skirt steak were just too salty and overpriced 3 tacos for $18! And I live in NYC. As for drinks, if you like mojitos, stick with the guava flavor or the classic. The passion fruit was way too sour and light. Overall, the experience was great, and our servers were friendly. But I would adjust my expectations for the food here.
A nice Gastro bar with talented artists. Food was great their cheeseburger was really good. My only complain is when we were there the music was super loud. If they could just tune it to 70% of current loudness then it’d be even better!!
No diversity and inclusion. Arriving from midtown I should have turned back when the woman at the door only spoke Spanish. Thankfully my friend spoke and understood a little. Very unwelcoming. Bar staff pleasant. Food mediocre at best. Music- 2 man band singing Spanish love songs mostly. Not the live jazz we were told would be playing. Small and intimate, but make a reservation! Will not be returning. Price definitely not worth it.
A diamond in the rough...they had an amazing live Latino band which had everyone dancing, even in their seats... they take reservations but had room for walk-ins also. My friends and I had a great time! I recommend this spot to all my bilingual millennial peers. Treat yourselfFood: 5/5
The OWNERS allow certain customers to wear hats inside and other can't" so I felt personally attacked with this first world policy and again the manager mentioned the absurd idea of purchasing their $30 hat to be able to go back inside. If your policy states that you can’t wear hats it should be enforced to everyone. By the way the other customers were wearing what they wanted. I’ve visited this establishment countless times, being a regular customer never felt so personally ambushed by the staff before. I really liked this place because of the ambience but I will not be visiting again just for the level of stupidity and how they run their policy.
I usually don’t write a review but the service and food are great. The owner came to our table to make sure everything was fine. Make sure you order the tostones with avocado and the Lentejas soup
No service. They want to push table service at $300 to $400 at a retail location. Went to the bar and bought some wine. Good music. Only 1 person was really attentive. Greatly appreciate his attention. Food needs more attention. Coroquetas tasted like old ham or oil or bread. Fried fish was horrible. Octopus was chewey. DJ was not friendly and not reading the crowd. Bathrooms were dirty. Plainly a whole in the wall. Could be better
