I recently attended a pop-up dinner event at Netflix Bites with a table of 5 adults and 1 kid. To reserve a table for the event, there was a non-refundable $25 per person deposit. Here's my review of the restaurant: Decor: The pop-up restaurant was nicely decorated with both indoor and outdoor patio areas. Netflix did an amazing job decorating the place. Service: The service was impeccable and the staff were very attentive and friendly. However, it's worth noting that they do charge a default 20% tip to the bill. Food: Since we had a big table, we ordered almost everything on the menu, including every appetizer, 4 of 5 main dishes, one pizza, 6 cocktails, and 2 desserts. Overall, the appetizers were the best, while the main dishes were average at best. The cocktails, on the other hand, were amazing and worth every penny. They used top shelf alcohol and had creative combinations. The desserts were disappointing and bland. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and would recommend it to anyone who likes Netflix shows and cocktails. It was a fun night out with friends and family. Parking: Park at Grove not at the Farmers' Market. If you park at the Farmers Market, you will need to find a place to validate the ticket Coffee Beans is a good one. Valet parking is only for the hotel guests.
Some things were better than others. We ordered 8 different dishes including deserts. Only 3/8 dishes were up to the hype. The smoked chicken wings, meatloaf, and black cod were unique. The drinks sounded delicious but we're not as good as other spots in LA. Our server was very helpful and guided us through a good dining experience!Food: 3/5
It was fun getting to try different dishes from famous chefs featured in various Netflix shows. The stand out dishes we tried were the hamachi, chicken wings, and the honey cake, as well as the everything but the alley cat drink, which came with a fried sweet plantain. The overall meal was on the more expensive side but felt more like an experience than just a meal. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about all the dishes and the chefs. We were also lucky to meet the amazing Jacques Torres who was present the night we went. He went to all tables to say hi and even brought out his Nailed It desserts to make with any kids that were in attendance. We got his box of chocolates to go and savored them the next day.
I was so excited to try Netflix bites, but the food simply did not match the price point we paid. Not only did we have to put a $50 deposit down to attend, but our bill was over $100 for two people and we didn’t even order that much. Everything on the menu sounded exciting and fun, but just didn’t have very much flavour or the texture was off. The pickle pizza was probably the worst pizza I’ve ever had I couldn’t even finish it. I enjoyed the theme of the restaurant, and the storytelling of the waitstaff around why each dish was important to the chef who created it, but the taste just did not live up to the presentation.
We went the second day that it opened and it was great. The food was all very tasty and the drinks were even better. The staff were super nice and knowledgeable about the menu. My friend and I went for Brunch, but would love to try the dinner menu. They do accept walk-ins but RSVPs are strongly encouraged to guarantee a seat. There’s no parking for the restaurant, but there is The Grove across the street with lots of parking. Overall, I had a great experience. They also paid attention to the details, I loved the decor. Give it a try! Parking: There is parking at The Grove
It was a fun experience! The decor is colorful, fun and a little bit cartoonish but in a good way. The cocktails were fabulous, particularly the Oaxacan on Top of the World and Absinthe Sour. We also enjoyed the cocktail cart and the bartender working the cart sold us on a gin based drink and neither of us like gin but he was so passionate & enthusiastic, we wanted to get something. We ordered several food items on the menu. The surprising standouts were the crispy pork skins w/ pimento cheese and roasted cauliflower SO good!. The short rib pizza, pulled pork and cod were all tasty but nothing I’d order again. The service was very good, everyone we encountered was pleasant. I don’t feel compelled to go again but I have no regrets about having gone once and experiencing this creative pop up. At a minimum, stop by for the drinks!
The vibes here are immaculate. However some of their menu items are questionable. We absolutely loved the service and the seating. we ordered the Lobster something I forgot the name the description mentioned that the crème freche was smoked which seemed good, but then we tried it. And it tasted like legit liquid smoke. All of it. It was not good. Would absolutely not order this again. We tried the tomato pizza. That was busting. We finished the entire pie in a matter of minutes. The zoom fizz was good but could’ve been better. The best thing we ate was the millionaire shortbread Kind of regretted trying the brunch menu. If I ever come back I would make sure to go to dinner only so we could try something different. Dietary restrictions: Before ordering they asked if any of us had dietary restrictions. I really appreciated that.
my partner and i went to netflix bites for dinner our table was ready and service was quick enough, though not the most attentive throughout the evening the food was really delicious. we had the cauliflower, mushroom tart, and smoked wings. i do think it was a bit pricey for the actual meal, but overall we enjoyed it. our favorite bite was the coffee and cinnamon millionaire's shortbread! it was really good, but was $15 when it should have been like $8... Parking: you have to park across the street at the grove, we ended up paying $17.50
I have eaten once and had the lamb chops really good and pizza which wasn’t as weird as it sounded. But discovered the bar team are passionate and knowledgeable about cocktails. I have been back most nights and now in a great little arrangement where we test each other on gin based cocktails.Food: 4/5
It's a nice space, cool decor. We were seated in a tight section between other tables so we heard our neighbors full conversations. It wasn't that crowded, surprised how much advance reservation was required. Nice staff. The food was ok, nothing amazing to justify the amazing prices. The hamachi sashimi was very small and thin pieces, kinda a joke. I wouldn't recommend this experience. They took forever to get our short ribs starter so they gave us free chicken wings which was nice. We were full enough and wise enough not to order more food.
