After spending months in aquarium stores in San Diego county, I finally came across this place. I started a saltwater tank with guidance from many shops. And realized quickly everyone is just trying to sell you something. it's understandable seeing it's a business but it makes it very hard to get good information, and not just a sales pitch. Lyn the owner has took me under his wing and helped correct all of the issues I have been struggling with building my system. He is in the process of writing a book on reef keeping, and truly understands Marine Biology, not just some minimum wage employee or money hungry shop owner. He is a great resource and runs an amazing shop. They stock tons of coral and fish. They might not be the largest or prettiest facility but their information and quality of livestock is unmatched. If you're going to put your trust in a shop I would recommend this one!

They have had flatworms in the same tank for months now. Hair algae covering lots of their coral and aptasia everywhere. They make no effort to clean the pests out of their tanks. They have an expensive store front and try to turn over livestock as fast as possible. The quality of their livestock suffers because of it, no acclimation time. The dry goods and supplies are even way overpriced to make up the overhead costs. You are better off ordering your supplies, sign unseen, from an online vendor.

Great customer service, great prices (compared to Petco/Petsmart), Employees are easy to talk to. Only complaint I have about this store is they should make it a little more organized. Seems like everything is all around the place. Overall this is a great store and I will definitely come back.

Horable place!!!! Went there a few months ago had them test my water when I went back to get the results. The dude literally screamed at me in front of the at least 5 other costumers and my three children over the name I gave him to write on the test. FYI I gave him my name and it apparently it should have been my husbands name. Completely rude, no costumer service what so ever, the fish are almost always sick sometimes even belly up, the place is filthy, the corals have pests on them and will corrupt your tank in the fish didn't do it already. If you want to go somewhere nice clean and friendly I strongly recommend Reefers garage in vista or the love aquarium in Escondido both of them are awesome
