Ordered food from here since my usual spot was closed. The rice was hard and tasted like it was the bottom of the pot and the chicken wings was soooo salty. The food really wasn’t all that. I asked for duck sauce and was given one but I had multiple meals so I guess one drop each meal. No napkins given.

I’m usually very satisfied wit the quality tho some people may not be so patient to wait as some restaurants deliver quicker  But to add to this I ordered again tonight and just wow the foods amazing it came out perfect the cook did it just the way i asked an really nailed it on the money  if you know what I mean  Their really masters of fried food anything fried comes out outstanding just let me know you want it crispy and boom comes to perfection very well done  I’ll upload some pics of what me an the fam ordered too

This is one of the top three fast Chinese restaurants in the Rosedale area, On top of that they are only one's that followed the direction extra spicy

Everytime I order or pick up, I ask for extra duck sauce & I only receive 1 duck sauce and 1 soy sauce for two meals. Also, I ordered chicken and broccoli w/ garlic sauce and there was barely any sauce on it. It is not the same as it use to be  ***UPDATED REVIEW*** recommend pick up only. You will not get any sauce with delivery & prices are higher even tho it says free delivery.

I am a middle aged white male...I identify as a male Chinese senior citizen..i find the name "Gookies"insulting and disrespectful..after all our asian brothers and sisters have been through trying to end racial discrimination..you name you establishment "Gookies" ?  how dare you!!! Especially in  these uncertain times..

The server at the front is great!!! She is very nice, patient, and pretty Always provide great customer service! I place pick up order from them all the time. I also order for delivery occasionally. Although the delivery might be busy sometimes, but 35 mins is definitely worth waiting! STRONGLY RECOMMENDED!!!

One of, if not the best, Chinese food spot on Merrick Blvd...and there are several. I've been ordering from Gookies for many years and the food is always excellent. The staff is very friendly. All the food tastes fresh and is well seasoned. You can see right into their kitchen, which always looks clean and airy. I've checked out every Chinese take-out spots in the area, and this one is clearly #1.

This is one of the only Chinese restaurant's I eat at in the area. The staff is pleasant, and they will customize your order to your specifications.  The homemade iced tea is great, and you get one for free if your meal is over 10 dollars. I've been eating here for years and have never had a problem.
