First time I went there the waiting time for non-us citizens was 180 minutes and decided to leave. The second time I went right before they open and only waited for 20 minutes. Employees were always really nice and helpful and I could get my license in the same day! Really appreciate it! Ps: I was also offered to take the written exam in Spanish!

Most incompetent people I have ever worked with in my life. First off, the paper I got said to call in 60 days if you have not received your plates. I never received them so I called to see what was going on. They stated that they never received my title from my title holder. I asked if they had followed up with them and they stated "we are short staffed and don't have the employees to do that" I asked why they didn't contact me earlier and they stated "we expect you to contact us".. Well what am I supposed to contact you with if I don't know what's going on... Then they were supposed to send me a second 60 day temporary plate, well a week 1/2 goes by and I haven't received it, so I called and they stated "Oh we don't send them in the mail" WELL the employee AND manager I spoke to last time said you were able to. Now my temporary plate runs out in two days and they want me to drive an hour to the DVM to pick it up. I'm not sure if they don't realize people have to work and unless they open up before I have to be at work at 7am and close after I get out of work at 7pm then that cannot happen... Save your sanity and take the extra half hour to the next closest DMV.

I have to admit that I was expecting to have a horrifying trip to the DMV to renew my license from what people say, but I experienced the opposite. I chose the Concord location because it was the closest to me. I arrived at 8:23 a.m. on Friday Oct. 27th & left by 9:10 a.m. When I walked in through the clearly marked entrance, I was able to follow signage to the Customer Service desk where there was a line of maybe 4 people. A staff member approached me with a smile & asked me if I needed any assistance. I told her that I was there to renew my license for the new Real ID & had the necessary paperwork, except she noticed I had not filled out an application for the license. She guided me over to where I could fill one out right near where the line forms. I then returned to the line where I was next. The gentleman at the Customer Service desk was very friendly & efficient. Once I was all set checking in, I was handed a ticket with a letter & number & sent to the waiting area. The waiting area was very clean & there are TV's to keep people somewhat entertained. Once I was called, the girl at the counter was friendly, I believe her name was Alyssa. It was as easy as handing over my paperwork, having a new picture taken (ugh) & payment. After having read other reviews & experiences, I can certainly agree that TIMING IS EVERYTHING! When I walked out after 9, the line was forming almost back to the entrance! If YOU come prepared, it makes the process easier for the staff & helps to speed it up for EVERYONE. They staff at the DMV do as much as they can to make sure people get in & out - it all depends on YOU as the customer how your experience will most likely go.

It’s a DMV. I can tell they’re trying to run it as efficiently and quickly as possibles. Not much to say about it though. I do like that you get a number and sit rather than standing in line for hours.

Extremely poor, when i was calling them they didnot answer properly. They were always trying to avoid the call and passing call one to one like game play. Finally the call goes to voice mail. Worst service
