Don't waste your money! There was a review on this school earlier which I really wished I heeded. It may have been taken off because they no longer have a New Brunswick location. I attended this school when they offered it in New Brunswick. I made a call to ask about the program and the person who answered (the owner I think) was very rude. Then the 10 weeks involved learning about 10 different tools... and that's it. THAT'S IT. You had a textbook you can learn a few things concerning dental related information from, but not the practice. I learned how to make an impression and a cast, but the majority of the time was learning the same 10 tools. The "tests" were so ridiculously easy. I don't know if it was because of my class, who were slow on the uptake, but even if it was, we did not learn diddly squat. So after going to another school to take x-ray classes (because apparently there's too much info to take both classes at the same time, yeah right I barely learned anything here), I was very excited in this new field, thinking I could be paid up to $20/hr, which they said some assistants are paid. Nope. Dentists don't want to pay that much. They want to pay $12-13 or lower. The dentist I worked for after taking these classes didn't want to pay me much more than $12, and $13 after I get my x-ray license, and no insurance. She even made me clean... windows. Really? I didn't take courses to do that. Dental assisting is a growing field, but I'll be honest. Save your money. You don't learn anything here. Dentists don't want to pay you much, don't give insurance, and can give you some real bad attitude. As soon as I got a job, I didn't know the tools, barely knew the procedures, barely knew anything. The dentist wasn't exactly patient with that. She barely provided training. It was frustrating, to say the least. Alright so I ranted a little. Basically, find another school. I wasted $4,000 on this place. Real regret.
