Food is still good but the prices have gone up ALOT! Now for a family pack it's 49.99. I got a large beef brocli and medium plain white rice extra and literally my total bill was 72.99! How?! Honestly for that price you're better going to a fancy Chinese restaurant and ordering togo where you can get better quality food.Food: 4/5
Lucked out and was in the area for my work lunch. Quick friendly service, delicious food. Some of the food I ordered was a bit cold, but not the biggest deal. Was still really good!Food: 4/5
Not a fan of the rice. It tasted like school food and the chow mien was disappointing. The bbq pork tastes good but to chew it, it's like beef jerky. Although the service was nice but that's what I'm paying forFood: 1/5
Nice enough people and with a small menu. The menu, however, doesn’t have anything for vegetarians. I was surprised and disappointed but that is just one thing. The rice was a bit dry near the end of the day, so you probably have to come earlier. The beef and broccoli and Kung pao chicken are okay. The chow mein does not have much flavor, and I question why the noodles are so bright orange. Lastly, I did not like the egg rolls. It just felt squishy to me when eating, and that can be a huge turn-off. I was able to eat my food but we are not saving any of it for leftovers. It all goes today.
I have been coming here weekly for almost 20 years. Food was decent, the prices have been fine, and they are quick. Food selection and quality degrades in the last hour they are open, as they try to use up what they've already made instead of making food fresh. In 2022, things have changed. The prices have increased a fair amount with inflation, which is understandable. My big gripe is that they've also switched to using a tiny little box for a combo third item instead of the styrofoam tray which had about 50% more volume. It makes it so the three item combo is a bit of a rip off.
This used to be one of my go to lunch places near my work place, but never again after my most recent visit. They changed ownership and everything has gone downhill. Food is bland and full of msg. Only finished half my lunch combination and threw the rest away. Prices went up but quality went down. Employees not as friendly as before. I would avoid this place for Chinese food as the previous chef/owner took all the recipes with him.
I've always loved this little place! I grew up nearby, and have since moved away. I will still travel the 10 miles/20 minutes to get the jalapeño pepper chicken! It's amazing, and the prices are great too!
Been going here for 20 years ever since I was a little kid, saw that they were closed on May 30th and sign said they would be back on the 1st of June. Today is the 2nd and I went back expecting the yummy food I always get. Saw it was all nice and cleaned up in there but the food looked different. Took my food home and it did not taste the same. Heard they are under new owners now and that the old owner retired. I’m so sad because the food was so good but now it’s different and doesn’t taste the same. Fried rice tasted like cardboard and the chow mien was hard. I’m so sad they have new owners now, please just get back the old recipes they were so good.
This place used to be my favorite chinese food in La Puente, But now they have changed owners, cooks, and recipes. They should change the name then too. Its not the same.
Spicy shrimp good. Spicy attitude bad. Lady is very rude...like insanely rude. Weird vibes. Tried to force rice noodles on us because they didn't want to make new chow mein.. not cool.
