This place is a joke! They don't do anything when you actually have an appointment with them. They just take your temperature and make you walk a line and that's it. Then they offer you high drugs that most insurances will not take. These doctors are not worth the time. They don't seem like they care. Waste of time!

I read the reviews prior to going and had a little hesitation, but UNM Neurology is scheduling appointment availability to July. Dr. Berger was able to get me in in days. The office interior is overall pleasant and relaxed. No harsh neon lights, comfy couches, and home-type lamps. The staff is speedy to check in, so have all your documents ready (as you should). Dr. Berger was overall excellent. He wastes no time and is not primary care; he is not there to make you feel good and don't expect a quick solution. He takes his time, he knows what to look for, and how to assess. Don't get offended by his tone or responses that don't immediately seem "comforting", that's just how he talks. I felt good about his medical opinion and he has me set up for further tests, and sooner than anyone in ABQ right now. I trust his assessment, he gives no sugar coating. He is thorough with his consultation, and that's what a good doctor does. I definitely made the right choice by seeing Dr. Berger.

If I could I would put no stars this guy whom I would not refer to as a doctor is extremely rude and does not listen. He pretty much told my mom to shut up because she asking about seizures. Being that this was my first one in the family we had no idea what caused it, why it happened, and how can we help this now. He didn’t acknowledge anything during the consultation!!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS RUDE, INPATIENT, CONDESCENDING guy who should not even be considered a doctor!!!! The reviews are right about him.

I have great admiration for Dr. Berger. He was able to diagnose my rare disorder when no other doctor could. If you are looking for a highly intelligent neurologist then Dr. Berger should be your #1 choice

I can't say enough bad things about this "Doctor".. He is completely rude, condescending and just a complete JERK! He misdiagnosed my symptoms on my MRI (he reviewed it all for 2 minutes) and in all of his "expertise" he missed the fact that I had significant swellilng of my spinal cord! My regular MD caught this and called me to inform me of this!! The "expert" didn't catch this, so why did I pay this man this outrageous amount of MONEY to be treated like a 3rd rate citizen and misdiagnosed? STAY AWAY FROM THIS JERK, HE IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!!
