About

The Marriott Metairie Hotel - Providing a Warm Welcoming Experience Where Genuine Connections Inspire Brilliant Performance.

Story

The New Orleans Marriott Metairie at Lakeway is a 4-star, 4-diamond hotel located in the Lakeway Office Tower complex on the shores of Lake Pontchartrain in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. With 220 rooms, each room offers a view of the surrounding Metropolitan area or Lake Ponchartrain featuring the longest bridge over water in the world, the Causeway Bridge.
As a premier hotel in the New Orleans area, the Marriott Metairie at Lakeway allows guests to experience the best New Orleans has to offer, while being just enough removed to allow relaxation and a bit of quiet.
In 2014, the hotel underwent a 3 million dollar renovation to the lobby, Great Room, bar, Mclub lounge, private meeting space, and our coffee shop - The Market.
The hotel is now one of only 6 Marriotts worldwide with an MClub, a new concierge offering to Gold and Platinum members, with 24/7 access, offering a continental breakfast and evening hors d’oeuvres. The MClub is also available to other guests for a small upcharge.
We welcome you into our Great Room, the gem of our renovation. This concept allows guests to be fully connected on any mobile device, while enjoying refreshments, and the company of others through communal seating. The Great Room also offers smaller nook areas for private meetings or dining, banquette seating, regular restaurant dining tables or enjoy a drink at the bar.
One of the many benefits of the Great Room, which starts in the lobby and flows throughout the hotel’s main floor and into the restaurant, is you can connect, meet, and enjoy food and beverage in any of the Great Room and lobby spaces…We'll serve you in the space where you're most comfortable.
The Bistreaux Metairie Restaurant, has a comfortable, yet classic appeal, with its soft white banquettes, contrasting with dark wood tones, offset by the flood of natural light during the day, or the backdrop of city lights at night.
Under the leadership of Executive Chef Anthony Spizale, your taste buds will be delighted. The Bistreaux Metairie restaurant serves a traditional Marriott Breakfast buffet complete with local fresh fruits, chef made omelets to order, as well as a Marriott breakfast menu.

"Overall, I was not happy with my experience." - my boy friend Let's list shall we 1. My bf had the paper from the cheese in his burger in the restaurant, not to mention that bun was soggy 2. You have to pay egregious fees for parking, which is no where to be found but 10 to 24 hrs is $20. That adds up for a multiple day stay 3. The bedding, my god, the pillows will give you neck and back pain, even if you use the pillows from the couch. Slip cover on the duvet, sucks, we un-tucked it and saw all the stains on the duvet. 4. An odd lack of luggage carts, and we were never offered any help with bags 5. No refrigerator or microwave 6. We had chips on the window, that you could feel on the inside 7. Popping/ banding noises from the windows 8. The Starbucks that was only there to taunt you, and never actually open. We were there Friday to Monday, never saw it open. 9. Elevators that look nice, but 2/3 are still moving when the doors open. Nope. Pros: 1. View.

I travel to the New Orleans area often for both work and pleasure. If there is one thing that is essential to me while being away from home, is a consistent hotel with amazing service. I have made this property my home away from home for the last 3 years and it continues to improve each time I come. I feel as though the second I pull up the experience begins right at the valet stand. The valet crew always takes great care of my vehicle and my waiting time when I need it is minimal. The staff at the front desk are always eager to put a smile on my face while checking in. I have never received a room that was not up to my standards. The rooms are always very clean with a refreshing smell. Also, the quality of the toilet paper and body wash is top notch and that is a big deal to me. I will continue to go to this property for years to come and I will continue to look forward to the cleanliness, food, ambiance, and staff. Job well done!!!!!!

4 time staying here. Beds are comfortable, staff is nice and facility is very clean. Highly recommend staying here. *TIP : definitely call down to valet prior to walking out of your room. They are limited and it will save you a ton of time.

Fees everywhere. Avoid this hotel. $22 a day for parking, no other option. Breakfast was free but if you wanted to bring to your room, they charge you. Gym cost extra, pool- ha. Value of the room became double after all the fees. Way cheaper and better options in the area.

I really enjoy my stays at this hotel. I have come back numerous times. It is located right on Lake Ponchatran and provides nice views. It is in a great area with nearby restaurants and shops. It is centrally located between the airport and downtown New Orleans. Highly recommended for those who want to participate in the local events but don't want to be right in the midst of it all.
