Open 7-days-a-week, New to You Consignment Shop has been the place to consign and shop in Annapolis for more than 30 years. Madeleine Powers has owned the shop since 1985. Her daughters, co-owners, Pam Jones & Susan Hummer, have worked along side her for the past 27 years.
Since its opening, the shop has doubled in size and remains at the same location. New to You is known for its great bargains on gently worn designer clothing for women, home decor, furniture and accessories. Consignors bring in their items to sell and receive 40% of the selling price.
Over the years, New to You has developed a devoted customer and consignor base. Known for its relaxing atmosphere (talking on cell phones is not permitted in the shop), many customers comment that exploring the new items that arrive daily is a form of therapy for them. In fact, one local physician often recommends the shop to her cancer patients for them to find a place to relax and de-stress. There is even a customer who comes in every day to check out the new items.
How To Consign
Items may be dropped off at the shop by appointment during regular business hours with the understanding that the items which we accept will be priced by the management and displayed for 30 days.
Clothing must be clean and neat, smoke and odor-free, recent styles, excellent condition, seasonable, and on hangers or folded in boxes. Plastic bags are not acceptable.
You will receive 40% of the selling price. Payment is made at the shop during the first 10 days of each month. Checks may be mailed by special arrangement. See store manager for details. Money can only be claimed by account holder, unless specified otherwise.
SERVICE CHARGE: A $5.00 service charge is due and payable at the time of opening a consignment account. This charge is good for one year and is not refundable. Account which are inactive for one year will automatically be closed.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Since our space is limited, we can only accept items that are in the very best condition. We must refuse any items that do not meet our standards. We are not responsible for loss by fire or theft.
