Love this store! The sales staff were so nice, especially the guy who fetched the shoes I was interested in and rang me up today. I thought the fashions were very reasonably priced and very "of the moment." The art and culture projected at this store were very impressive, as well. I must say, though, that I love the store especially for those cute as a button pugs. What a treat to see them lounging around today!

I was longing for a good corned beef sandwich, as I hadn't had one for about 8 months.  A friend of mine was visiting Los Angeles area and went to the NY Deli on Topanga Cyn Blvd. in Canoga Park.  She ordered me a Corned Beef sandwich, coleslaw and fries.  She brought it to me 2 hours away.  When I opened the Styrofoam box, the sandwich stood out as a small dollop of scrap meat centered in two slices of rye bread.  The meat was 90% fat attached to what looked like shredded not sliced corned beef.   The French fries (large steak cut) actually had soil from the skin fried with the fries.  The coleslaw was totally dry, just shredded cabbage and a few pieces of carrot, no dressing.  I was appalled.  The next day I called the deli.  Spoke with a person who said that he was the manager.  He could not provide the owner of the business or any method of contacting him.  He offered me a free meal next time I visited but as I was two hours away, I asked for a coupon or letter.  He finally agreed to send a letter but my bet is that I will not get it.
