My grandmother passed away while we were out of town and we were shocked to discover her son and daughter-in-law were not planning a funeral, much less even bothering with an obituary.  I repeatedly tried to call the director to arrange a visitation before burial only to play phone tag or be told he was in meetings all afternoon.  I finally sent an email with a host of questions and was told that since I was not immediate next of kin they could not answer them. My grandma was buried before I could see her.

Their website boasts a low price guarantee.  Spend the extra and go to Tobias.

Worst Funeral home in Dayton... Our family had an aweful experience... the majority of the positive reviews are from employees acting like customers...

This was the first time I have had to deal personally with a funeral home. I believe that these people are the most caring, compassionate, most down to earth. The staff was GREAT! So sweet and caring. My brother looked so natural and the staff was so pleasant and courteous to all the our family and friends. I believe because of the staffs helpfulness and politeness they helped make this an easier time for my family. I would recommend Newcomer's 100%.. thank you to all the staff...you all were so awesome!

My mother-in-law passed away last week. We are really appreciate Newcomer funeral home and their staff who worked really hard to make everything happen based on our timeline. Especially, James Solivan, whose flexibility and compassion made things easier for our family during this difficult time. Thank you so much.
