Always love Newks for a chicken salad sandwich and a bowl of soup. The food has always been good and the service too. Its not fast food trash and is prepared to order and delivered to your table by a pleasant server. Like everywhere else, prices have increased somewhat. Have been multiple times and will return.Food: 3/5
My sons and my pizzas were OK. I would’ve given them for stars, because they were just a little dry. My husband’s salad was absolutely disgusting! The lettuce was completely strewn with rotten pieces. Not just one or two, but probably 25% of the salad was bad.
Very upsetting. 1 month ago we had great service food and experience. Now we try to get food. But they’re training new employee and laughing at being unable to use POS system. Then other employee comes to assist and is unable to help fix system. Ends up laughing at me and their inability to use system. Happened December 3. Comes back December 4 and we’re hit with high pricing and missing items. Unacceptable.
$11.99 for a ridiculously small pizza wasn't worth it, it was the size of a regular size microwave pizza you can buy at grocery store for $3. Maybe the other food might be better but I am not sure. I just won't go back, nothing against the staff honestly, they was amazing by surprise. The CEO needs to take this advice and get bigger pizza, we know they got all the money. The cashier understood the situation and refunded the $11.99 without any problems, employee handled the situation amazingly great along with the staff, they was great why they got a 5 Star.
The food is so tiny here! The half sandwich was barely three inches long. That’s half of a half!Food: 1/5
Steer clear. Asked for no mayonnaise on my sandwich. They piled on the mayo and left off the honey mustard. Secondly, the salad was soggy with dressing. Thirdly, the douche behind the counter yelled across the restaurant that no more than one pack of salad sticks was allowed for carry out order. That made everyone turn around and look at me as though I'm a free loader. Gosh, I'm such a bum. I walked out with a whole TWO packs of sticks. Soooo horrible I took an extra nickel's worth of cracker stics.
To be honest, I wasn't originally excited about eating here when we visited Oxford because it is a fast casual chain. I was pleasantly surprised by the food and the fact that it was founded in Oxford. A friend suggested the Newk's "Q", and it did not disappoint. The quality of the food was far above what I was anticipating. The restaurant was clean, the dining room looked nice, and the employees were friendly. If I needed a quick bite in Oxford, this would be a top option.
This review reflects our last experience, and I want to bring attention to three issues. I ordered three kids’ pizzas. We got home to enjoy them and discovered a half shaped pizzas. Upon further inspection, it was clear that the dough was folded in half and because of that the dough on the inside was raw. Not feeding that to my kids. With crying, disappointed children, I called the store to ask why the pizzas where made that way and to get a refund. The employee said that they ran out of the kids’ dough so they used the regular dough and folded it in half. 1 I informed them that this method does not allow the dough to fully cook and that I would like a refund. 2 They said to give them an hour and that they would call me back to do the refund. Never called. Still don’t have a refund. 3 Our pesto chicken sandwich was super dry. As a general comment, we have had more unsatisfactory experiences in the last month or two at this location than anytime in our 10+ year patronage.
I'm not one to complain, despite what my rating history may indicate. But normally the food here is okay, hence the 2 stars instead of one. Today I got a pizza that was so oily I can't even describe it. So I asked them to remake it and they did. When it came the second time I realized that's just how they were going to prepare it. I hadn't eaten since the night before, so I just ate it. They needed to remake their pesto sauce or just mix it back up. Either way, the didn't do that. I can tell you the crust is premade from the freezer. So I can't imagine they make their pizza sauces there. Which is almost worse because that means they just didn't mix it up before remaking it. I would normally go once a week or so, but I can't imagine I'll be back. Don't let my review run you off, I'm sure you'll food will be better.
Best chef salad I've ever eaten. Had a pizza too but didn't like it. Dry and not many toppings.Food: 4/5
