Centrally located within the city of Emporia, Newman Regional Health is a 25 bed governmental entity operated on a not-for-profit basis. Newman Regional Health remains a local hospital; owned by the people of Lyon County and governed by a Board of Trustees made up of community leaders. Newman Regional Health is a teaching hospital and is home to the ESU Newman Division of Nursing.

So far my experience has been very pleasant, I am 9 months pregnant and have received great care from Dr. Faulkner's and her staff, when I got a tour of the hospital the nurse was very nice, funny and helpful to my partner and I. There is always some waiting involved but as of now I love it, I will update my review after the little one comes.

Fabulous experience (for a medical issue :) from the moment we walked through the ER doors. Into my 2ND day and no complaints only praise.

The staff was extremely helpful. They are caring, compassionate and take well care of their patients. In addition, they make sure family is well taken care of too. For example, Casey Cumings , in the ICU, went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable.

I brought my daughter into the ER 2 hours ago, because our insurance told me to get her checked for a possible seizure.  We are still sitting in the waiting room.  They have not even taken her vitals. Inexcusable!

On 9-10-2015 I fell off my truck tire and I was taken by ambulance to this joke of a hospital. the doctor said I cracked my arm and that there was nothing wrong with my knee. He was extremely rude,  made a comment about how I changed my attitude after they administered pain killer. The nurse, while splinting my arm, yanked my arm straight out. After driving 1300 miles in this condition  I went to my home doctor and found out that i shattered my left elbow and had to get a joint replacement, tore the ligament in half, and cracked my left knee in two places plus tore my acl. This place is a joke. I wouldn't take a stray, rabid dog there.
