The Library seeks to strengthen our community by providing opportunities for learning, inspiration, imagination and enjoyment.

We maintain a 47,500 square foot building with 33 public access computers, 4 public meeting rooms, and a collection exceeding 154,000 items for our patrons' educational, entertainment, and business needs.

There is a room with Newport society history that shows black and white photos from when people would hold lavish parties inviting hundreds to their mansions. I am interested in going back here soon to find out more. I feel that there is always more information that is not even in the library but the library is a good place to start. A journal from that era would have been interesting. The library lets users use 4 hours per day.

this library will give you 4 hours per day on the computer. they have a room with library materials and you can see some photos of strange people who thought they were upscale at some party wearing fancy clothes in a marble mansion. there is an area in the kid section with the tiny play houses which is a good idea to have one at home. the books are ok. when i am in town to report i will look around for more of what there is to find out
