It's a vibe. The place is really nice. You have to order everything from the beginning so you can share. I only wish they had more drinking options because they only have wine and one kind of beer. The wings are bomb but I had better pad Thai. You definitely go to this place for the vibe not for the food.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: No
Great area. Great atmosphere. Great service. Great setting although a little overpriced. Unfortunately I was subjected to the worst pad Thai I've ever had in my life. It tasted like onion soup spaghetti. Attached below is a picture of the soupy "chicken pad Thai". If you go here stay away from noodle dishes. My friends said their food was fine.
Cozy, hip Thai spot in Venice. Made a reservation for 5 via Resy beforehand; note that they require the entire party to arrive before they seat you. There is a small standing area where you can order a drink while waiting for your friends who’ll inevitably be late because it’s LA and parking along Washington can be competitive. Credit cards accepted. Stalled bathrooms available in the back. Indoor dine-in only no outdoor options. Food-wise, family style is the best so you can try more things. The papaya salad was refreshing and the sweet potato massaman curry was the unexpected star of the show. They do have vegan and vegetarian options. The pad see ew was okay, and can be made vegetarian by ordering crispy tofu. The crispy rice salad was really sour but I did like the texture. The party wings were delicious and were my favorite dish. You order rice for an additional cost, and I particularly liked the coconut rice. The sticky rice was only okay. Tables are really close together and it’s a small place, but there were a couple of big groups celebrating birthdays in there. Overall, it’s a good spot to take an out of town friend or when you want some Thai food in a cool ambiance.
Positives: lively yet relaxed atmosphere with neat lighting and aquariums, very quick service. Neutral: I ordered the pad Thai. Although it didn't particularly exceed expectations, it was well made and I enjoyed it. Room for improvement: I wasn't seated when I asked for a table for two despite showing up to a practically empty restaurant. The menu appears to be very limited after post-lockdown reopening. No modifications allowed; not the best spot for selective diners. Vegetarian options: There are some vegan/veggie options but they are very limited with the new menu; no modifications allowed. Dietary restrictions: Accommodations for allergies are offered, but otherwise, no modifications and the inclusion of oyster or fish sauce in dishes that could otherwise be vegan might make this a tricky spot for some diners with restrictions.
Best Thai food in LA! Give your taste buds a treat and head over, everything is tasty.Food: 5/5
Great food, good service. Strong flavors - favorite dish was pad see ew.
Amazing menu, amazing staff, a great hidden gem, but it's small and almost always packed to the gills. If you're used to elbow-to-elbow NYC dining then you'll get right along here. I still loved it, but gotta be in the right headspace to deal with the crowds!Food: 5/5
I really wanted to like this place. A colleague at USC recommended it to me. I went on a Saturday night and was able to get a table relatively quickly. Despite not having a reservation. I was not familiar with some of the dishes on the menu, which to me was enticing. Usually you go to a Thai place and see the usual suspects: Larb, penang, Tom Kha Kai. So, I ordered two dishes I had not tried before. I wanted to have hot water with lemon to drink with my meal, but my server told me that I would not be able to order that. I do not do Thai Iced Tea- that could send me into a diabetic coma. So I ended up drinking water, and tap water at that I think. I ordered a salad and a soup. The soup was delicious and inventive. The salad I can not put into words, and only took one or two forkfuls before abandoning it. The server was decent, but slow to come to the table and just seemed utterly indifferent to me and the rest of the world around her. I do not expect to be treated like royalty at a place like this, but as least I feel I should be responded to like I have a pulse....
Incredibly tasty way to spend an evening. They really aren’t kidding about the spice levels but weirdly you get used to it as the meal goes on. Will definitely be back!
food was top notch - will def come back for the sweet potato massaman curry. vegan larb was killer +“as is” spice level was really flavorful but hot. cool vibe. music is a little loud for a date. will def add this to my go-to spots in venice!
