I had come to the community center on Monday, 1/29/18, with two of my friends. Our schedules were both open on this day and we thought we should go to the community center to play some basketball like we had used to. We arrived and it slipped our minds that children from the nixa schools were there and there was no space. We stood in the lobby for a minute discussing where we should go and the woman had the front desk was very rude. I have always had good experiences at the community center and have always thought the staff was especially kind, but this woman was very rude. She demanded that we leave or pay to stay. I explained to her that we were discussing what we should do, but she was still telling us to pay or go. My friends and I didn’t say anything to her and we left. I usually love going to the nixa community center because it is such a family friendly place, but this experience has slightly changed my thoughts about it.
