I just signed up to write reviews, my first ever.  But I wanted to put the information out there of how nauseating the food is at No. 1 Chinese in Brentwood these days.  The chinese in the frozen section at grocery store is better than this place.  I think they are using frozen broccoli also.  I lived in Brentwood for many years and would get this chinese food about once a month.  And it was pretty good.  But the last time I got this food it was not good at all about a year ago.  I thought I would give it another try today.  I wish I had my money back.  I can't even eat the food I brought home from there today.  Yuck.

Something has gone wrong, our most recent experience was just plain bad … 3 dishes: vegetable lo mein tasted burnt and had literally only a half a piece of broccoli and no other veggies; the cashew chicken was terrible and the “chicken” was only breaded skin we dissected it to look, the chicken with broccoli platter was flavorless and the chicken pieces weren’t proper either … finally the egg roll was soggy and we didn’t even bother to try it … just gray I hope cabbage inside … very disappointing for $55

I had the sweet and sour chicken with fried rice. A lot of restaurants sweet and sour chicken is over battered, but to my surprising the batter on the chicken was lite, airy and still very crispy! Chicken was tender and juicy, as I said before many restaurants cant do that! The fried rice looks bland but in all honesty it is definitely a flavorful fried rice! This place is a good place to stop by when you need to grab lunch or dinner!  Some these reviews are honestly stupid, dont let them be the reason why you dont come eat here! I work in a restaurant and I can say this is a good place to eat!

Horrible food and staff......super rude and non-appreciative!! Brentwood needs another option for Chinese food......Ill choose McDonalds next time

Just had Sweet and Sour Chicken some of the Best Fried Rice, plus a delicious Egg Roll. So happy we tried your restaurant. Excellent Service and Delicious Food. Thank You! I would add a picture, but I ate all the food .

General Taos chicken was mediocre. Staff wasn’t rude but they weren’t friendly. Still have covid type setup. Very odd. Better Chinese elsewhere.

No 1 Chinese has always been my favorite Chinese delivery. It always arrives as ordered, hot and delicious. Our new house is not in the delivery area unfortunately.

My favorite Chinese Restaurant in the area! Very friendly family owns this place and I've been going for over 10 years! At this point they remember my order, I'm all about that Mongolian Beef and House Fried Rice!

We ordered online and their menu does not have clear descriptions. We ordered crispy wontons thinking it was exactly that but it ended up being wontons stuffed with something. The fried rice we ordered was only rice - no egg, nothing else and barely any seasoning.  When I picked up the food, the woman who checked me out added a tip herself before handing me the receipt to sign!  We will not be back.

General TSO chicken is 80% batter.   Not worth $13 for mostly batter.   Will not be back.   Not very friendly
