“Nonno” was born in Naples, Italy in 1929. As a young man Nonno began his culinary career working on luxurious Italian cruise ships eventually becoming a chief butcher. Nonno sailed the world for 18 years until his brothers, longshoreman in New York convinced him to move to the United States. Nonno moved to Brooklyn New York in 1961 and started his family. During his travels Nonno learned to appreciate gourmet Italian foods. He especially had an appreciation for fresh organic meals. Today in honor of Nonno, Chef Luigi is continuing his legacy by using natural meat sources, organic produce and ingredients when seasonally available we encourage, appreciate and support our local organic farmers. It is our commitment to provide you with the freshest, natural foods available where you can taste and feel the difference. As our awareness of the global impacts our everyday decisions can have, we want food that contributes to the health of our bodies and our world---safe, natural, organic food. Nonnos love for the ocean and environment has inspired us to utilize a variety of green restaurant supplies.
