Story

Sonda & Brian opened NoNo's Cafe in 1996. The restaurant has been a dream in the making since they moved to Denver from New Orleans, in 1993.

Brian & Sonda enjoy dining out, which is usually the preferred past time of native New Orleans folk. "Growing up with the flair of seasonings, sauces, gravy, blackening and cajun spices, our taste buds felt homesick for New Orleans flavor," says Sonda. "We knew right away that NoNo's Cafe would be a unique concept in this area. The response we've received in four years has been phenomenal."

We love being at the restaurant...it doesn't feel like work. We feel like the customers are guests in our home, which is most important to us as owners. We've been rewarded time and again by relationships we've built with our customers and staff -- our "family."

Great Louisiana style setting. Causal laid back feel. I loved all the pictures on the menu. I got the Blackened Ribeye, it was cooked well. The price is $21.00 A little too salty for me but still good taste. It comes with tomatoes and mac n cheese which was a nice touch. If you saved room for dessert, I highly recommend the Strawberry Cake. Very fresh strawberry taste to it, was rich and moist!

Just ate lunch there. Incredible. The Cajun rolls were delicious, and the smothered catfish is my favorite dish in Denver. Lisa my server was welcoming, engaging and extremely pleasant. Pepe the manager came over to make sure everything was going well and he ended up chatting for a few minutes. I've sent numerous employees from my restaurant down there to sample delicious cajun meals! This place keeps getting better!

No visible sign outside. Menu is half Mexican and half Cajun which is a little odd. Not much of a selection for breakfast, i.e. no waffles, one type coffee. Brought out the wrong order to our table. Acoustics not good for patio seating; loud had to have my date repeat herself a couple times. Also sat me near the walkway and got bumped a couple time. Waiter pouring coffee splashed over my lap. I'd eat there again but won't expect 5 star food or service next time. Important to note price wasn't too high but okay.

My wife and I recently went here for breakfast after a friend that lives nearby recommended it. I had never really had a "cajun" style breakfast before but I was blown away. The portions are huge, the food is great, and they had some amazing green chile. My wife enjoyed the mac and cheese and told me it hit the spot for her. We will definitely be back soon to check out the other menu items they have.
