The Good: Comice is a skilled massage therapist, friendly, and welcoming. Unfortunately she is working in a highly inaccessible, unprofessional environment with management and coworkers that are doing her no favors. NoNotts advertises as a "Pain Relief" Specialty practice, yet they have little empathy for those in pain and are located up a steep flight of stairs (if there is an elevator nobody offered me the use of it, despite my limp and backbrace.) At my first appointment I arrived 15 minutes early (after having to call to be told by Amy, the off-site manager, that Katie was running late with the client ahead of me - would have been nice to get a head's up) and then waited an additional 10 minutes PAST that "running over time"...apparently because Katie expected me to be standing outside the locked door of the building - in the rain! She said she waits at the top of the stairs and looks down for people. I was flabbergasted, so my fiance (who drove me - my pain is such that I cannot drive at the moment) explained to Katie that it was raining, the door to the building was locked, I am unable to stand for long periods of time, and most people don't loiter for 25+ minutes outside office building doors...and it seemed to us to be Katie's job to come down to meet/let in her client. She didn't know how to open the doors, which seemed to make her angry at ME. Excellent start to a massage. From that point forth Katie was cold toward me. It was an uncomfortable experience. I tried to put HER at ease, and I outright told her that hadn't had a massage in many years and was nervous. She just didn't act professional or confident. The massage was good, however, and the price was right, so I gave it another go, and that's when I had a session with Comice, who was great. Unfortunately, the next session I booked (I was going for 1-2x/wk, on the advice of my Dr & PT - so I could have been a very good client for this business - I also tip - I was alternating between $55 & $30 sessions) was with Katie again. Everyone has bad days, right? The weather was awful that day, power went out in my house, tree fell in the road, I had to drive myself (painful for me - but worth it for pain relief of massage) etc etc....I called to say that I would be 30 min. late, so perhaps I should reschedule. I was apologetic. Amy said, "She'll fit you in whenever you get here if you can come today." BAIT AND SWITCH!!! When I arrived Katie told me that she would only be able to work on my for 10 minutes yet I would still be charged for my full session - NONE of this was explained by Amy, her manager, when I called, or I would have rescheduled - which she knew. Katie was indifferent, When I called Amy, the manager, to discuss that she'd not made these terms clear to me & make clear that I'd not have gone if she had (who would get a 10 minute massage for full price - especially when driving there causes you excruciating pain?) she raised her voice to me, denied responsibility, & did nothing to rectify the situation. (Note the other 3 Star review on this site - Amy denies responsibility for that client's unhappiness & does nothing to rectify that situation either.) The straw that broke the camel's back was when Amy actually, after repeatedly denying responsibility and not caring about losing a client, kept speaking over me and then told ME, "Don't interrupt me!" I ran a business for 8 years. Even if you don't believe the customer is always right, you at least should let them speak. That is just basic manners. My advice, especially if you actually are in real pain - spend a few more dollars, save yourself some stress and self-respect (not to mention handicap access!) and go elsewhere.

I've been receiving massage therapy for years and Amy, the owner at NoNotts Massage is amazing and I will no longer go anywhere else. Truly one of the best experiences I've ever had! Amy is very knowledgeable when it comes to providing relief, utilizing different techniques, she has a very friendly demeanor and her studio is so peaceful. I would highly recommend NoNotts massage to anyone who is looking at receiving massage therapy she has great rates and professionalism you can't find anywhere else.

I have had the pleasure of receiving multiple massages and many different locations, and I must say the professionalism, cute soft environment, friendly staff and over all service was one of the best experiences I've ever had! Amy, the owner, is friendly, and really knows her stuff. In my line of work, I beat my body up time and time again, and after receiving a fantastic massage I truly felt the healing touch for my neck, and shoulders. Highly would recommend to anyone looking for a 'non-massage-place-in-a-box' type business..
