This place is a staple. I have gone here countless times. What it lacks in convenience (BYOB, no telephone, not credit cards, no reservations) it makes up for in simplicity and taste. The restaurant has a pared down menu that stays consistent, so you can trust that what you're getting has been prepared by someone who knows what they're doing. The atmosphere is casual but in a classy way. Great for a first date, for entertaining visiting guests, or for dropping in after a day of shopping on Walnut Street.

The only reason for the 4 out of 5 is that they are a little unreliable in the vegetarianess of their menu. One of their curries is made with a fish sauce. I'm pesketarian, so I'm okay with that, but my roommate doesn't eat fish and the server will only sometimes ask if the fish is okay. They have a way of making it without the fish sauce, so it would be nice if they asked, or at least told diners about the presence of the fish sauce when they order it with tofu. 

Also, one time, my roommate ordered a dish with tofu and it definitely had some chicken chunks in it, which ruined the whole thing for him. They did take it back when he asked if they could remake it, but we all felt very weird about it.

The food was delicious and the service was quick and friendly. Given the food is good, it taste like the sauce is pre-made. Probably  something you could make a large pan for cheaper buying the ingredients at Meijer or Aldi.

This was the first time we tried the Mac and Cheese with Pulled Pork. The dish was really good. Could have used a tad more barbecue sauce and some of the pork was a bit dry but overall a delicious and hearty meal.

Considering other Noodles & Company locations are generally packed and not as well staffed. The West Main location is stable and well staffed and has a constant but not overwhelming flow of business. 10/18 rate Joseph Richards the best looking and most skilled staff member 😁.
