NOPEC is the largest governmental retail aggregation in the nation. We currently serve over 207 communities in 13 counties.
NOPEC (Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council) began in 2000 as the first northeast Ohio governmental opt out aggregation. We currently serve natural gas and electric customers in 13 counties service over 200 communities. We are a council of governments which means our community members are active in our how our organization is managed. We have provided our communities over $216 million in electric savings and $16 million in POC grants to our communities which give them the power to save every day. In June 2015 we re-launched our new and improved myNOPEC on line engagement product to help our residents and small communities learn energy efficiency and find ways to implement energy saving in their homes.
