On a clear day, the view of the city from here is gorgeous. Otherwise, the park is also fairly nice by itself - every time I've gone it's been clean and tidy. The grass could be a little better maintained, but in the usual SoCal heat, it being somewhat patchy in places is understandable. The only true downside I can think of is that the parking lot is a little but small and right off of La Brea, so traffic can at times make entering and exiting somewhat difficult, but the park itself is very nice.

Lots of gopher holes in the grassy area, but the walking track is nice and the basketball courts are pretty good too. There is workout equipment and a playground for the kids. There is a bathroom as well. Picnic tables are there for parties or just to sit for a minute.

I like this park specifically because it's a wide open space where I can practice flying my drone uninterrupted. Not too many trees or obstacles in the sky!

Norman O. Houston park is a smaller park but has a ton! It has a walking path that is about 1/2 a mile long, work out machines with options for people with disabilities, as well as 2 basketball hoops, picnic benches and a playground!
