Great gym and friendly staff, but I give it 3 stars based on its cancellation policy. In short, cancellations happen on the 25th of each month. If a member cancels after that but before the next month, the member essentially has to pay for two additional months of membership; meaning cancellation is effectively 60 days instead of the standard 30. Personally, I cancelled May 30th, but the cancellation didn't go into effect June 25th (5 days before the 30-days notice I gave), so I ended up paying for July as well. This is a shady policy. 30-day cancellation policies should be 30 days from cancellation, not the gym's arbitrary, set cancellation date. To top it off: my membership wasn't even cancelled so I have been paying for August and September as well...

I've belonged to a lot of gyms in various cities. This is my favorite hands down. The facilities are really nice, friendly and dedicated staff, plus amazing group instructors. I love how they do a lot of fun challenges and social events. I'm also doing things like yoga that I've never tried before. The Mind Body studio is so nice and miles above anything I've seen in a gym before.

Personal training at this location has been life changing for me. At age of 56, I started 2 months ago with Mauna working on flexibility, weight reduction and pain alleviation. Mauna's knowledge, patience, professionalism, warmth and pereseverance has changed the way I look, I feel and my outlook to workouts. And this has happened in only two months. It just can not get better. As for the gym itself, i can only say that I was a member of equinox for years before I moved to n Bethesda and joined this club. This gym is by all means superior: the cleanliness, the machines and its staff.

I really like this gym! It's very professional but relaxed. I love to workout early and it's never been crowded. I particularly love the open balcony where you can exercise and catch a some sun rays. Great modern equipment.
