There's not a lot of good Chinese food anywhere in the area, and honestly this place isn't great, but the Mongolian beef is tender and the rest of the food I tried isn't bad. The ambassador green beans is a sweet dish, which I didn't expect, and was disappointing. Hot and sour soup wasn't very hot or sour. The wait staff, however, is exceptional! Very friendly and very attentive. It's often packed as people tend to bring large groups here (portions are very generous), but I never have to call the wait staff over, they're always on the ball. There's parking on the side street one in from main Street and it's usually got room. It's only 2 hour parking until 6 pm, but that means it's not a problem for lunch or dinner. 
All in all, it's probably the best Chinese food I've had in Santa Maria, and definitely better than anything you'll find North in the five cities or San Luis Obispo. Worth a try, you might like sweet green beans!

Very very very good. All the time... Good consistent service... Everytime we come they are too good to us... Remember our needs and fast service Everytime... See the owners working with staff to ensure great service.... Come eat the Best Chinese food on central coast...

I don't like Chinese food but I LOVE this food. It's fresh and the owners and staff are super friendly. It's always busy so be patient it's worth the wait

I have been dining here almost 30 yrs.
I have always loved the recipes for all their food. The food is always made with fresh ingredients & so tasty good that you want to go back 2 to 3 times a week The service is always so personable & you are takin such good care of while your dining there. Michael, thank you.
