We booked a site in advance for a 32' RV with 30 AMP service. The site we were assigned wasn't absurdly narrow but was complicated by the location of a large pine tree on the north side of the site. We elected to park the RV from the south side of the site at an angle so as to afford both ourselves and our neighbors a maximum amount of space and privacy as well as to avoid any contact of the RV with the tree. We had parked, leveled, and set up, only to find that our site was a 50 AMP service only and that we did not have a converter. While discussing where to stop in Newberry to buy a converter, campground administration drove by and demanded that we re-park our RV from the north side of the site. We attempted to explain that parking that way would, in order to extend our slide on one side and leave an acceptable margin between our neighbors RV, require us to drive through the tree branches and drag them down the side of our RV. The man told us we could only park in one direction on the site and we had to move or leave. So we did. We parked the RV according to his instructions, thus burying it half way into the pine tree branches with a two foot margin between our RV and our neighbors on the east side. Our fire pit sat exactly 10 feet from our neighbors fire pit on the west side, so we did our best to rearrange our chairs so that each party had enough room around their respective pits. It was, needless to say, insulting to be expected to subject our RV to potential damage simply to comply with their preferred method of parking. While it is all other respects a decent campground, we would not stay there again given the way we were treated.

We just spent our anniversary at this campground, and before we left had already discussed coming back next year, the owners were very nice even came to see us off & thanked us coming. Oh and they of coarse wanted to see our Spike but her was already literally tucked into bed lol. Actually shared the pictures I had taken of him tucked in.....We have came faithfully to the u.p every year of our anniversaries & id have to say this stay was one of our favorites, heard a male and female moose calling for one another at 1a.m. and almost entire length of stay wad between two coyote packs that howled back in forth. There's nothing like the u.p.

Clean and grounds are well kept. Bathroom needs updates, showers are directly across from the door. Grass pads. You can get 30Amp full hookups or 50 Amp water only. There are a lot of things to do at the campground and it is close to many attractions. $3O and up.

Perfect central location to see so many places within an hours drive or less. Owners are super and are on site all the time. Very well maintained.
