I have an 8 month old golden retriever that wasn’t acting like himself at all. It was a Sunday and the vet I typically went to didn’t have an emergency doctor locally on call. So I went to see Dr. Pettey. They charged me $300 to run one blood test to check for tick disease. I was told his blood counts were normal and that he just needed a pain medication. As I was about to leave my dog had an accident on the floor, prompting the doctor to say that he thinks my dog couldve been suffering from marijuana intoxication. My wife and I have never touched marijuana once nor do we associate with people who do. The next day I took him to the Animal Care Clinic in Hibbing ( I highly recommend it.) and for $200 they ran extensive blood work, checked his internal organs to make sure they were okay and gave him an antibiotic. come to find out my dogs white blood cell counts were high (meaning there’s an infection) . My dog was very lethargic, in pain and had trouble sitting or lying down. The Hibbing vet told me it’s very obvious that it’s a tick disease and is likely anaplasmosis. Dr. Petty saw these same symptoms and did not properly evaluate my dog and charged me $300 basically for some ibuprofen (which didn’t help) and made the generalization that my wife and I were druggies. This place is over priced and unless you’ve spent tons of money here, they will not work with you nor give your pet the treatment they deserve.

Dr. Petty is an excellent veterinary surgeon, very conscientious, and informative. It is easy to distinguish a vet that really care for animals from one who does not. He has always been available to answer any and all concerns. My little Axel wouldn't be alive today if not for Dr. Petty.

Don't really listen to you just push a bunch of stuff they think you need for your pet.

This place charges 67 dollars just for this visit part of the bill so if you want to spend over 100 dollars for your vet bill go here... wow i qas surprised.
