One of the worst departments in lorain county if not the worst! They are crooked and are not concerned about investigating real issues. They also waist tax payer money by sleeping ,yes I said sleeping in their cruisers on root rd before the railroad which is also a speedtrap!

Absolutely terrible. I had somebody in a car follow me down a road. I took a picture of the car right before they started following me and as soon as I did, they turned around and followed me down the road. I was able to go on somebodys porch and wait until they left, which was awhile. I called the police and told the dispatcher about it. She was extremely impatient, and seemed like I was just a waste of her time. Then two days after, the EXACT same car was parked outside of my house. I called the police and said that I had a suspicious behavior report and I was put on hold for over SIX MINUTES before the line cut out. Nice to know I have trustworthy police keeping me safe. ((BY THE WAY The car is a tan Ford Taurus and was seen on Barres Rd. In Meadow Lakes)))

Recently we have had issues with aggressive raccoons who would chase us and our dog off of our patio. We sought help from the Police department, they promptly offered a solution...they were professional and helped us immediately deal with the issue. I could not have more praise for their professionalism..promptness...and support. We are blessed with an outstanding department. All should thank them! They are the thin blue line between us and chaos.

I had to go in to pick up my car because I got towed earlier that day and the dispatch lady charged me $55 for having it in there for one day and when I noticed on the paper on the glass saying it was only $40 I figured I'd ask her about it and she got really rude with me and told me no it was $55 and that's just the way it is. Every time I'd asked her a simple question she would act like I was annoying the hell out of her. My advice is don't have a job where you have to work with the public if you don't like the public. Finally an officer came out and decided to help me and I explained to him that she charged me $55 and he said you're right that was our fault she's still new. So now they have my credit card again and finally reimburse me the 55 but couldn't get the 40 to go through so now I have to drive all the way back up there from Lorain Ohio to pay them again because it was the dispatchers fault in the first place. If you ever have to get pulled over I recommend never getting pulled over in North Ridgeville because none of them do not know what they are doing and they are all very very very rude. Another thing when I was up there the cop trying to swipe my card was getting frustrated so he decided to take the stapler that also wasn't working for him and throw it behind him almost hitting another officer. I really don't feel safe having a police officer getting so mad at a stapler protecting people on the actual streets.
