I will say that my rating is not based on the reception staff. While they do seem very busy, they were as helpful as they could be under the circumstances. My displeasure is with Kelly Moorhead. She came recommended to me and I was amazed after coming to her. Having never been prescribed an anti-depressant, I had three people (an RN, my licensed mental health professional, and a friend pursuing a Neuroscience PhD) express surprise at what she had prescribed me for anxiety. I experienced worrying side effects, and called her office with specific questions - I asked if she had a recommendation for a schedule, and if she had a timeline for acclimating to it. I never received a return call, but thanks to my pharmacy's text notification I learned they had simply sent a different prescription without talking to me. Several months later, I came in with a different concern. She did not offer any lifestyle change (and not because I was unwilling - I mentioned diet and received no verbal indication that she had heard me. I suppose she was too distracted by her new computer system). The next morning I woke up and the issue had gotten worse. It involved a concerning amount of blood, and I called with the very specific question, "Is this a danger to me?" Again I received no response and a text notification for two new scrips. They were not covered by insurance and came to over $100 for both of them. I know that isn't her fault, but at this point I had not been given an answer about my safety or information about what the medication was. Overall I found my experience disappointing. She seems unconcerned with anything more than a quick fix, even for patients willing to talk and listen. I should be able to trust my doctor, and I certainly couldn't trust her to even return a single call.

Kelly Moorehead refused to give me a Drs note on my visit November 20, 2017. I have called the office more than once today seeking said note and have received nothing for my troubles. Why is this so terribly difficult? This is standard procedure whether at the Drs or dentists office- both here and abroad. (Is there something wrong with this woman?) Kelly did not examine me for half of the symptoms I was presenting, and after five minutes or so with me rushed back out of the office stating the doctors she would refer me to would be on the papers printing out. I was a little confused, as I hadn't been seen for all of what I had come for. While Dr Moorehead told me to go to the emergency room, she also believed I could be at work the same night and next day (when exactly was this emergency room visit meant to take place?) I had to call my place of employment and tell them the specific symptoms I had been presenting, as well as her advice to go to the emergency room, because she refused to write me a Drs note that she had seen me. I will now have to show them the paperwork for my visit (which is none of their business... ) in order to prove that I was indeed at the Drs office on November 20. This woman is unprofessional, uncompassionate and for all I have seen and experienced ( on two continents, mind you!!) unqualified to be called "doctor" in any sense of the word.

Well, customer service in this office has slipped considerably. No one calls you back, and one gets "attitude" from doctor and staff alike. This has caused me to look for another primary care doctor. Unfortunately, the ones I've contacted are not accepting new patients...but Northeastern always is. Not surprised, and disappointed with what used to be a great practice.

Dr Colin Moorhead has no personality and treats you like he knows it all and you know nothing which if that was the worst thing you could say would still make him an ok doctor. The staff can be rude and this office is known to schedule you for appointments without your knowledge and then be upset when you don't show. This happened to my daughter and son. My daughter who is never up before noon supposedly according to them made an appointment for 9:30 am (never in a million years would she have made it for anytime before noon) and when she didn't show up for it charged her for the appointment. My son also supposedly missed appointments that he never made. He was on 2 blood pressure meds and his pressure was still elevated to 165 over 106 so he made an appointment. The next day a couple of hours before his appointment they called to inform him that because he had missed appointments (not) Dr Moorhead was dropping him as a patient. They agreed that they would call him in 1 refill for his meds until he could get in to another doctor but then called back another day to say that Dr Moorhead had decided that he would not do that. My son ended up in the emergency room shortly thereafter because his blood pressure would not come down and he had a doctor who doesn't know the meaning of the term --do no harm. If you are going to ditch one of your patients last minute then at least have the decency to make sure they have enough of their medications to last until they can find a doctor who actually cares about their patients well being. His wife who is in the same practice is completely rude to her patients and they are truly made for each other. If you must go to that practice(Northeast Ohio Medical Specialists)then for your own sake make sure it is with Dr Julie Wallace. She is sweet and kind and is willing to spend time talking to you and makes you feel valued as a person. She is never rude or belittling and is an overall great doctor. The fact that 3 out of 4 reviews for this practice are positive for Dr Wallace says it all!!!

I love Dr Wallace. She takes the time to really discuss and explain any diagnosis. She is genuinely concerned about my health and she lets me know it. I've never had a problem getting a timely appointment. Dr Wallace is the best doctor I have ever had.
