NCIC is a non-profit organization, certified Community Development Financial Institution working to address regional economic challenges.

Story

Vermont and New Hampshire are very different states in their politics, governments and styles, yet in 1975 the leaders of the Northeast Kingdom and the North Country recognized that together they form a natural region sharing common interests and challenges.

As a result, NCIC was established as a non-profit, certified Community Development Financial Institution working to address regional economic challenges. Click here to learn more about our history.

Today, with a diverse Board of Directors, fifteen employees and offices in Lancaster, NH and Saint Johnsbury, VT, NCIC serves New Hampshire’s Carroll, Coos and Grafton Counties and Vermont’s Caledonia, Essex and Orleans Counties.

Its focus continues to be on building partnerships and developing creative and effective solutions for individual businesses, communities and the region, to ensure that the region continues to offer a strong and growing business climate, and diverse employment opportunities.
