I had surgery (for the first time ever) here a month ago and had to stay overnight as well. The staff was incredible. From my surgeon and anesthesia staff to the nursing and medical assistant staff - I felt well cared for and in good hands. The room was updated and everything was very clean. It was large enough to accommodate my visiting family members as well and everyone had a seat to sit down. The food wasn't bad either. I would recommend this hospital to anyone!

“I'm a 67 years old professional Rock climber and Mountaineer. I started having problems on my shoulder several years ago but just ignored the problem. I live in NY and searched around the country to find a doctor that performed multiple shoulder replacements and understood sports medicine. I chose Dr. Steve Levin in January of 2017. He was very good at explaining to me the situation and my options and explained to me what to expect concerning the operation. I had my left shoulder done on February 23. Dr. Levin and the surgery staff were great. They helped put any concerns to rest and did all they could to make me feel comfortable before surgery and in recovery.
The overall experience was beyond what I would have expected. In a day and age when it seems like everything is impersonal and some are just in it for the money, Dr. Levin and his staff exhibited a lost virtue: that of genuine concern and wanting to help others. They truly care about the individual and their needs. When I needed assistance with getting information they made the time to help me out right then and not put me off. When I needed advice about PT, they took care of it on the spot. When I would come into the office I noticed that they greeted every person with a smile and concern about their situation. This went a long way in making me feel comfortable and at ease. Once again I would like to personally thank Dr. Steve Levin and his wonderful staff.

Regarding NORTH SHORE CONNECT: The app North Shore Connect stinks.  Don't try using or setting anything up with your cell phone.  call the help desk for help with north shore connect and every single question you ask, you get put on hold so she can talk to someone else to get your answer.  I was put on hold 4 times so she could get the answer to my question.  I asked "  how about let me talk to the person that can actually answer my question so I don't have to be put on hold anymore ,  this way I don't have to talk to you and I can talk to the person who can actually answer the question, what a novel idea !!! ". 
 she told me I was not allowed to talk to the person who could directly help me, that I had to go through her.  Two thumbs down.

My experience (I can only speak from what I saw) has been a very good one.  My Uncle John was brought in by my brother after experiencing a heart attack to the ER with a very low heart rate and was immediately taken to the cardiology dept to have a balloon angioplasty procedure after which he felt so much better.   The staff in ICU has been incredible with checking on him and knowledge sharing.  His cardiologist is amazing and offered very positive uplifting advice with a caution that he may leave with a pacemaker.    I was only here one day so far...it's hard to make a final assessment on total care but based on what happened today I feel good about the care he is receiving and will post again after his release.

My wife had rotator cuff surgery 
From the time we entered the hospital we received the upmost care from the friendly and courteous staff. The follow up exceeded all expectations.
