The Norwich Community Development Corporation is well known and respected as the primary economic development resource for the City.
The Norwich Community Development Corporation (NCDC) was incorporated in November 1963, originally serving the towns of Norwich, Bozrah, Montville, Ledyard, Preston, Griswold, Lisbon, Sprague and Franklin. Since April of 1971, NCDC has served as the development agency of the City of Norwich.
The purpose of NCDC is to further the economic development of the Norwich community through growth and development of the Norwich Park, revitalization of the Downtown Norwich area, and preservation of the historic Norwich harbor and waterfront. NCDC does this by recognizing existing industry and commerce, furthering their expansion, and encouraging and assisting in attracting new development for the community and the Norwich Area.
