If you are from out of town I would skip this spot. It seems like it could be decent enough, but the kids that go here on the weekends are just obnoxious. In the span of about 2 hours I watched 4 different tiny white chicks turn full "Karen" on both staff and regular people. Its a club for entitled brats who may be above 21 in age, but act much younger mentally.
Kind of surprised reading the reviews for Nova here, because I had a totally different experience. Came here for one of the Vibra nights w/ the boys and we all had a superb experience. In contrast to what some of the reviews say, we had a great experience w/ the security & bouncers; they were super friendly, talkative, and chill. The dress code is also not strictly enforced which was quite nice. The music that night was stellar as they played some of the best reggaeton and dembow hits of the past few years which was fire. Also getting a table here in a prime location was definitely cheaper than at other similar spots in the area - bottle girls were beautiful and the vibes were immaculate. Definitely would recommend this spot for any occasion, whether it's a boys night out or celebrating a special event. The one drawback is that they do overpack the spot after 11:00PM.
Amazing staff! Amazing drinks! Good vibes, good music!!!! Classy guests!
The server did not know how to make LITE. It tasted literally like water. When we asked them politely they didn’t care at all. Definitely not visiting this club or buying drinks from here! Please take beers or bottled drinks if you go here.
It’s ridiculous enough that this place requires you to get two bottles minimum for bottle service, yet they do whatever they want with seating arrangements. They sat my friends and I all in the back area where there is nothing going on. We asked to be seated else where and they said they couldn’t do anything about it. The girl mentioned that those tables were reserved. I had spoken with Cori “the manager” before hand about the seating arrangements and she said that they do it 30 minutes before they open. They don’t even allow you to choose where to sit. I also told her, and the staff that night that it was my friends birthday and to show a happy birthday sign when they bring out the bottles, yet they couldn’t even do that. We will never visit this place again, and will make sure all of my friends and family are aware
Very bad flow. Security/bouncers are garbage. Service is mediocre. We paid a lot of money for table/bottle service and bouncers letting their friends in for free cutting the line.. idk how owners feel about that. The business is there to make $$. Yet the people paying the $$ aren't getting preferred treatment.. Table next to us threw up. Asked 3 staff members to clean. Never happened. So for the rest of the night we had to breathe the smell of puke.. 0/10 for me.
As someone that works alongside law enforcement local/state/federal and in security, the security guards act inappropriately and unprofessionally. I was yelled at and while I was trying to get my only friend, who was the only person I went out with tonight. They were kicking me out despite me telling them that I need to make sure my friend is okay. For safety reasons, we were trying to leave together, but they kept separating us because of their “bathroom rule”. I don’t expect rules to be disregarded, but in security, discretion is encouraged; you have to know how to read a situation and the guards here lack training. They were extremely rude and yelled at all the females while they spoke calmly with the males. Their antagonizing/aggressive behavior was unnecessary and I would suggest they have their guard cards revoked. Security is supposed to maintain a certain level of professionalism, out of every bar, club, etc. that I have visited in my life, this was actually the worst experience. I did appreciate the kind/pleasant ones, but the rest, NO. They were disrespectful and no one should have to deal with that. There’s a way to go about maintaining a presence and keep the crowd I order. However, my experience here, at Nova, was subpar as it pertains to security and I highly recommend that the manager/owner evaluates this matter so that others can have an overall great experience. To the owner, if you have any questions, please please please, provide an email and I will explain the situation in further detail. Thank you for you time. I hope this helps someone.
How come that after so many negative reviews about security staff there is still no change? What is the management doing? I went to the club yesterday and saw both security guards at the entrance being extremely mean to people. Then when we were leaving my friend forgot her coat and wanted to get it, they neither let her take it back herself, nor ask anyone inside to get it. All they said "call tomorrow". We had to ask for the manager to eventually retrieve it was it really so difficult? It took 5 minutes to check and 30 to argue with security. One guard called her retarded while we were still trying to be polite and didnt even raise our voices. This is terribly inappropriate. These people should not be on the job that requires any human interaction.
Made reservations for bottle service for my daughters birthday..was forced to purchase 3 bottles I have an email that clearly states I would purchase no less than 2 or up to 3 and to sit at a section that was to be reserved for 10-15 people but could only fit about 8. The manager Noah was rude and made absolutely no exceptions to accomidate my party whatsoever...even spending over 1K here! The venue is small and almost all staff is rude. If it wasn't for my daughters birthday I would've just cancelled all of it. I would recommend another place w Management that caters to its patrons for your upcoming events or parties. Horrible experience.
a pretty solid but small nightclub that plays hip hop and Latin music, and super packed after 11:00 p.m. The line is indeed long but the dress code is actually not that strict, overall there's nothing special about this venue it seems to be the same as all the other bars in SJ. $20 cover
