I see Karyn for lymphatic massage. She is very well educated in lymphedema therapy and is VERY personable. Lying there for an hour while someone massages your breast can be somewhat intimidating; however, Karen is outstanding in putting you at ease. I actually drive to Mt. Prospect from Northwest Indiana on Saturdays so that she can treat me. It is about a two hour drive so that should tell you a lot about the trust I have in her. She always does her best to fit me in whenever I am in crisis mode! Eileen at the front desk is a jewel at keeping you entertained while you wait and can work miracles with scheduling. If you ask to be put on the cancellation list, you know if there is a cancellation at your time spot (I prefer the 10 am slot but if necessary will take the 9 am), Eileen will make it happen!

I Had my first outpatient Physical Therapy session with Susan at this facility one week after having a partial knee replacement. My session was so rough and painful that when I returned home I took my first pain pill since having surgery a week earlier. That evening (Thursday) my dressing (Aqua seal) started to ooze and by the next day it needed to be removed because it was saturated with fluid. When the dressing was removed my incision on both sides was covered in heat blisters from the physical therapy being so rough ( She had me sliding my leg up and down on a wall, using a leg press machine and other painful movements I want to forget). I called my physician and they started me on antibiotics. My physician had never seen anything like this a week after surgery in all his years in practice. I cancelled all future appointments with this facility. When they called back I told them that I developed blisters and they told me to call them back after I had seen the Doctor. I began PT at another Facility which was very patient because knee bending created new blisters, I will spare the public horrific photos of my recovery! After 2 weeks I was referred to my Dermatologist who prescribed a cream used in people with mersa. I remember having a cold plastic blue old cracked wrap placed around my knee after the session by the receptionist which was not covered in anything before putting it on me so I'm not sure who it was on before me. My Dermatologist also had never seen anything like my case and he's semi-retired! To end this review This facility's treatment with me resulted in delayed healing, additional Doctor visits, medication, bandages, creams, ointments and pain. They sent me a survey by e-mail which I explained all I have here and no one ever called me to follow up. Please tour any facility before choosing.
