My PA showed no empathy whatsoever. I was going through some serious physical medical problems and he never uttered so much as a sorry to hear that. Also, I was drug tested, although I have NO history of illegal drug use. I felt like a criminal. He refused to see me anymore because I was prescribed a controlled substance by my neurologist and he said he wouldn't treat me if I was on this drug. This is caring for your patient's mental health?!? He made me feel like a drug addict and that's all he cared about. So happy I don't have to see that cold, uncaring man ever again.

Their "Adolescent DBT" 20 week program literally saved my teenage daughter's life and has been a huge help to me too. Suicide, depression, anxiety, and self-harm have been her struggles and nothing else worked until we came here. This program is well run and comprehensive including: -individual weekly therapy for her -individual weekly therapy for myself -24 hour therapy help line -a weekly 2 hour group session learning life-saving emotional and interpersonal management skills with other parents and teens going through the same issues. We have experienced 2 other DBT programs that don't hold a candle to this one. I am so thankful for this program and would recommend it to everyone.

I wish I could write about their actual counseling services, but they wouldn't even let me get that far. They refuse to do an intake if you don't have someone to watch your kid for the initial appt, and as a single parent with no family in the area this is not an option for me. I didn't have anyone to watch my kid so Her Highness Dr. Ingrid wouldn't even let me make an intake appointment, after much phone tag with the receptionist trying to see if the doctor would allow it. They must not really be interested in helping kids if they can't even work with you on that one basic issue.

I recently discovered that my son has been receiving counseling at Nystrom Associates and met with my son and his counselor last week. His counselor has a bachelor's degree in history and is a licensed counselor, He is experienced as a chaplain and seems like a caring, thoughtful man. Unfortunately, he needs to be under the direct supervision of a licensed psychologist. He is not a psychologist, psychotherapist, or a psychiatrist, so he is unable to diagnose Asperger's Syndrome, Borderline Personality Disorder, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder etc. It takes knowledge and expertise with cognitive behavior therapy to move a patient beyond venting about past experiences to success with present day, interpersonal relationships.

My Psychiatrist at this location helped me through quite a bit but mostly meetings were for checkups and refills. Still, helped me tremendously which is what I was hoping it would do.
