Story

Chef and Owner Scott Ouellette redefines the classic steak house by using only the freshest ingredients and complimenting the hand-cut steaks with inventive seafood dishes, like the signature Lobster Mac & Cheese. We also recommend the Corn Pudding and the Kobe Beef “O Pops.” The wine list for both O Steak & Seafood locations has been hand-selected by Scott and offers over twenty wines by the glass. As if that weren’t enough, save room for our deserts that are all created onsite.

I had a birthday coming up and really wanted to celebrate with a good steak!

After careful consideration my wife and I settled on “O” and we were really looking forward to eating here.

We arrived around 6:15pm on a Friday, and the place was packed (good sign!) the vibe is really cool as well.

The hostess was kind and said they would not have a table available in the in the dinning room til 8:00, she offered us the bar area, (Which was also packed) she said it was “first come first serve and tables usually become available fairly quickly".  We opted for the bar area.

Every seat was taken so my wife and I stood near the bar waiting for a table to open up and sure enough after 10 minutes a couple was getting up to leave. 

Here we go:

The clearing crew shows up immediately to clear the table and my wife has her hand on a seat at the table when the “Hostess” appears from the dinning room with a couple of people and seats them at our table. 

Wait, what?

There was a waitress standing there and she says to the hostess, “these people (us) were waiting for this table”, The hostess says nothing and walks away. One of the people (the hostess was sitting) says, “we were here longer” and aggressively sits in the seat my wife has her hand on.  If THEY were there longer, they were hiding somewhere and they were NOT in the lounge area. If the lounge area is “first come first serve” why are these people being seated?

Everyone departs and were left standing there in the middle of the bar getting the “stink-eye” from the people who so rudely took our table.

Unbelievable.  

We ended up leaving. 

Birthday dinner wrecked.

O is a good place for a formal dinner in Concord, but it's a bit on the pricy side.  It is usually consistent, but there is the rare night where it is off.  The service is above average.  The atmosphere is very nice and is a draw with the Rid River Theatre right below it.  O is right next to the parking garage, so finding a spot shouldn't be too tough.  Lunch is much cheaper than dinner, and it's hardly ever busy then.

O’s is a great place for an evening out! The atmosphere is on the fancier side so it’s nice to get a little dressed up to go there! Great selection on the menu. The appetizer chips are amazing, compare to loaded nachos but use homemade chips! Great margaritas and the wonderful service keeps them coming! Dinner, I chose salmon with risotto and a side of creamed spinach. Nice meal with generous portions. Desert, we split two between four of us, cheesecake and ... I forget due to the 3 margaritas!

Amazing food experience! Everything tastes really fresh and flavors are great! The atmosphere in the lounge is great for a business meeting but come dinner ours a trendy place for a cocktail and date.

This is one of the finest in Concord.  We've madee a habit of having a dinner of appetizers, which are really, really good.  The Ahi Tuna and the pot stickers (The SAUCE) are to die for.  Yes, a bit pricey.  But it is so good.  Interesting wine list.  Fun bar scene.
