Beautiful place although it's definitely haunted as I've had paranormal experiences there growing up as a kid in that neighborhood. The owner of the property and the house, lake, and cemetery also says the place is definitely haunted including his own home down the hill a bit. Have seen personally figures walking past windows when noone should have been there at night. Had even been handcuffed by police one night thankfully the security cameras proved we never stepped on property and that some how the front door had unlocked and opened it self ajar which when a neighbor saw us just sitting there at end of drive way talking, they assumed we were up to no good. On our walk home police detained us and almost gave us a breaking and entering charge thankfully Greg, creg, or Mike I can't remember the owners name came to my rescue and confirmed to the cops that I and my friends would never trespass and that he knows me personally.  Poor swan on that lake growing up I always felt bad that it's mate died.

We had our annual visit to see Santa! Let me tell you that Santa was so friendly, we felt right at home. The inside is beautiful I highly recommend the Christmas puppet show and Santa was exceptional.  We also come for Easter, thank you for letting us enjoy the Oakland House.

Went for an Easter Egg hunt with our 2.5 year old granddaughter. Lots of fun and the volunteers were great. I highly recommend!!!!

Oh. My. Wow! Absolutely GORGEOUS venue. No photos you see would do it justice. And the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable.

If you are wanting to see Santa here please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. It was extremely disorganized, the lady leading everything was very rude to several families. It was just a bad experience all around. The also try to force you to buy stuff from there little shop as soon as you walk in. Please take your kids to see Santa somewhere else.

This venue is truly historical. My family has been coming here for annual holiday events for years. The Easter Bunny Hutch is coming up in March and you should check it out. Bring your little ones as this place is great for kids and moms :

The food was amazing! The Affton Historical Society has done a great job with restoration!

Great location for a wedding or formal venue.  Beautiful hidden gem in St Louis

So pretty and classy. Can't wait to have a special day there.

Haven't actually been inside bit am looking forward to it!
